Malinga looks like a unfit aunty.

Well he hasn't had any match practice and this is his first game after a while. I'd give him some leeway + his pace is fine as well. Just a matter of him getting into rhythm. Hasn't lost the slower ball or the yorker, still an asset to the Lankan attack.

Talking about his shape.

I hope McCullum does not look to over attack Malinga not yet anyway.
A mini platform is laid here.

NZ top order is brutal if it get going. No shame we struggled against them

NZ is Baz is actually playing a mind game from first match giving a demo to teams that we are going to serve you this and they are so far succeeded.

On this pitch, if Baz fires, Sri Lanka will be chasing 380 to 400 ...

Provided rain stays away.

Talking about his shape.

We all saw what getting fit and into shape did to the Pakistani players, most notably Jamshed, whose weight loss effected his balance and not to mention Misbah's dismal 2014 being due to weight loss as well....

If he's bowling with pace, has enough stamina, who cares if he has a gut?

Boys are ready mate, prep has been spot on. Now it's time to drop the shoulder and go hard, enjoy the ride and see if the cricketing gods agree with our ambitions..

It's a myth that Weight loss can lead to loss of batting ability.

You have no idea what you are advertising here....

This the thing i like about Mathews he tries to lead from front and take pressure without running away from it like many

It has a lot to do with a persons balance.

Getting into shape cannot cause loss of batting form.

There are millions of other cricketers who are fit and perform to best of their batting abilities.

Pakistanis are hyper known to take short cuts.

Nasir failed, and blamed his weight loss. More likely failure gave him something to blame, than the other way around.

We love to make our excuses.

Inzi if fitter, would have achieved more than he did.

Pitch looks like a belter, NZ have made a strong start and 300 looks on the cards. SL bowlers' line and length not good so far.

He is a fast bowler and he looks in extremely bad shape plus being overweight do have serious side effects on body.

I don't like the format... or whatever the name for the scores of the batsman /bowlers

Well then they should have rested Dilshan, this game is not the be all, end all.
The tournament does not even begin until the last 8 anyway.
That is a heavy strapped ankle, they run the risk of losing him for the rest of the tournament.

Back to back fours plus a no-ball :six

I thought with Malinga SL may have a half decent bowling attack, but they look just as bad if not worse.

Batting stance and balance has a lot to do with a batsman's success when they are taking guard.

Inzi could have gone the Nasir way as well, you never know, + some players have a slow metabolism and getting fit for them might prove to be difficult.

With the line up Kiwi's have looks like a 350+ score on the cards here who knows maybe even 400
