After a tough outing in the series opener, where Pakistan fell short with the bat and New Zealand cruised to a 9-wicket victory, all eyes are now on the Men in Green.

Will they bounce back stronger and level the series in the 2nd T20I to be played on Tuesday, March 18th in Dunedin, or will the Black Caps continue their dominance?

I would disagree with "all eyes are now on the Men in Green"........it's becoming a fiasco, even more dire than Pakistan are accustomed to, which is saying something. I can see Pakistani cricket heading for a demise, both in fan following and in actual skill. Multiple reasons, ranging from PCB policies, the age old infighting, lack of facilities, poor coaching and even external political factors such as IPL boycotts. All of this adds up to the fact that I think Pakistani cricket will go the same way as West Indies cricket......once a world standard setter but now just there to make up the numbers. But, according to the captain, we are still "learning".......as usual.
 
For this game, i want to see 1 change for sure and that is Shaheen rested for Haris. Rest I am willing to keep because we cannot discard a player after 1 game only....
 
Honestly I have to appreciate @Mods for having to put up with these kind of threads after watching crap one after other.If i am a mod, i may have burnt down my company laptop or resigned citing ptsd.
 
My suggestion to the team is to continue to play with ruthless aggression.
 
They'll do much better here. Pakistan have been bowled out for less than 100 at Hagley Oval three times now.

The bounce and seam from that track is kryptonite for even the best Pakistani batsmen .

Other venues won't challenge them anywhere near as much.
 
Not easy for a visiting team to do well in NZ. This Pakistani team is very inexperienced too.

They should be backed.
 
not sure why Haris was not included in the first game. His only strong format is T20s and he was rested for nothing... Shaheen should have been kept on benches....
 
I will give 3 games to this opening pair if they don’t fire then bring Omer and Usman for the last two
 
Somehow I feel a part of this team now, like one of the 11 playing for them.

I want to hear more and more criticism. I want to be told I won’t ever be anything. Keep telling me this!

Give me all the reasons to come out hard and punch your lights out.

I dont want rizbar for world cricket sake.pak have taken first step towards normalcy/modern approach .Atleast its in rt direction irrespective of outcome.
 
I expected them to win one match before the tour started. Still thinking that they can avoid the white wash but not so sure anymore.

what is your problem as long as we fans will follow our team, good fans are loyal and are there in tough times as well. Go and enjoy your team's success and let other live.

Aggression needs to be with some thought and brain, brainless throwing your bat at everything does not work. You can not go from tuk tuk to just swinging at everything. There needs to be balance between both, try to place in gaps get run a ball and here and there boundry, and you can swing in last 5-7 overs.

Haris has done well at no.3 , this is second time he opened and scored a 5 ball duck

They should have played Umar instead , and I have no idea why they dropped Farhan and Haseebullah
 
Why play Shadab and Abraar in the same 11 when they have Sufyan to bring variety..

Aaqib one of the most stupid selectors that I have seen and a complete parchi himself who knows how to be a chamchagiri, qualified in backbiting politics.

None of the Pakistan 90s cricketers are good enough to coach a team. They lack those skills.
 
In second or third 20 20 the venues will change , the margins will change , team composition will change , but the result will be same.
 
Dunedin ground is a good looking ground with nice backdrops. Last time Finn Allen really went to town against Pakistan. Haris Rauf had a "memorable" day.

Yep. The Hagley Oval has more bounce than any other NZ venue by far.

Home ground for local lad Kyle Jamieson.

Even in domestic Super Smash , the Canterbury attack of Matt Henry , Henry Shipley and Kyle Jamieson were, supposedly, almost unplayable in their home matches.

And then you add in a newbie batting lineup coming from Pakistan with the lowest bouncing pitches in the world to the mix - perfect recipe for such a disaster .

Will get easier to bat over the next 4 matches.
 
I know Christchurch is not a great venue for pak and it was normal our batsman where going to struggle with that pitch

Hopefully we can do better on Dunedin what is the pitch like there tradionally

New aggressive team thought T20 cricket meant whole match is 20 overs that's why they let NZ chase it down in 10 overs. I am sure it was just an aberration. We will bounce back on the 18th.

Lol what are you going to do about Rizbar? Who are my heroes? We saw how yours performed. Captain of our t20 is a clown with SR below 100. Is this your agression?
 
Bring in omair bin Yusuf for hasan Nawaz. He has more technique.
Also sufyaan for abrar.
Abbas for Muhammad Ali
Haris for Shaheen.

Forecast is showing rain but it doesn't seem that bad. Shouldn't be a washout but we may see a shortened game.

Nowadays they make no real effort to get the game going. A few drops and a bad forecast is enough to call off the game with players happily not making any effort to have to play. It’s an easy paid holiday for everyone. The only one who misses out in these situation are the fans.

Tbf that's why I respect Australia alot. During that washout game it was funny how the aussie team threw such a big rukus that they forced Pakistan to play those 7 overs 🤣.

And mashallah Pakistan is the no 1 team when it comes to playing 1 to 10 over games. Overpowered t1 to t10 team.

Bro in that game I think Rizwan and Babar were happy to spend time together with tea and coffee on the back of their win against Australia in the ODI…all of a sudden it’s game on and they had to scamper around to find their gear and make up lol

What a chitrol after that!
 
If they bat first they must begin with a cautious approach and have 150 in mind. If they get to a good start and have wickets in hands after 10 then maybe they can target more.

No point going for 200 and getting bowled out for 90
 
Should be same XI. At least the same batting line up. No point changing that after just 1 game.
