Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President Maryam Nawaz has stressed that no decision regarding Kashmir will be taken without the consent of its people, claiming that a conspiracy is being hatched against Kashmir as there is a smell of something cooking.

Talking to the media before the meeting of PML-N Azad Kashmir Parliamentary Board, Maryam said that the PML-N has served the people of Azad Kashmir the most.

“Kashmir election is our own election,” she said, adding that they would tolerate the incumbent government for five years, “but the people will not”.

Maryam said that the party was planning to run a full-fledged election campaign.

“The people of Daska bravely stopped the vote thieves,” she said, referring to the by-election in the constituency which was bagged by PML-N candidate Nosheen Iftikhar. The ECP ordered repolling in the NA-75 constituency after incidents of violence.

Maryam vowed that the PML-N would not allow rigging in the Azad Kashmir elections. “PML-N's victory in Azad Kashmir election is certain.”

Maryam said that (Prime Minister) Imran Khan is not giving an NRO to anyone except himself as the government has failed in every field.

“More evident of the government’s failure is that the PTI MNAs cannot go to their constituencies due to inflation,” she added.

She criticised the government for not being able to enforce the coronavirus SOPs. She also accused the ruling PTI of giving Kashmir to India.

He said that if the government wanted to give Kashmir to India like in the past, they would not allow it to happen. “[PML-N supremo] Mian Sahib is in contact from London regarding the Kashmir elections.”

She appeared optimistic that the PML-N would win the Kashmir elections.

“There is a trend of polishing shoes in Pakistani politics,” Maryam said, referring to politicians trying to woo the establishment. “We want this curse to end forever,” she added.

Maryam condemned the arrest of Javed Latif, saying the state should protect the citizens and not punish the ones who point out the wrong.

“Imran Khan is consoling his crumbling party. All countries postponed the exams. This fake government endangered the lives of children as in the previous exams, everyone saw that no SOPs were implemented.”

She said that she would ask the parents to register an FIR against Imran if their children get infected with Covid. “Can Imran Khan and Shafqat Mahmood make their children appear in such exams?”

Maryam said that those who overthrew Sharif were themselves falling. “Mian Sahab stands tall, full of splendor and full of strength.”

No one cares about Kashmiri people in both India and Pakistan
It's just politics...
It's the people of Kashmir who have to care about themselves and thier future

We've discussed this before. You're speaking in generalities (as usual), there are plenty of Pakistanis who do care for Kashmiris so you can speak for yourself. Of course there all be a largely apathetic population in any country, I'm sure the average joe in Oregon could care less about crime in Chicago or the average person in Quetta could care less about the famine in Tharparkar, in any country most people will be most focused on the issues that concern except maybe on issues of national importance (Kashmir in Pakistan's case)

Maryam scolds govt over ‘secret talks’ with India

ISLAMABAD: Breaking her nearly a month-long mysterious silence, ******tan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday expressed concern over reports about “secret talks” between India and Pakistan and declared that this time the people of Pakistan and Kashmir would not let the government do “another bargain” on the Kashmir issue.

Talking to reporters after attending a meeting of the party’s parliamentary board over the upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Ms Nawaz warned the government against any plan to rig the upcoming elections in AJK “on the pattern of elections in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and the 2018 general elections in the country”, saying the workers of the PML-N and the people of Kashmir would foil any such attempt like the people of Daska who, she said, had caught the “vote thieves” red-handed.

“If some people are making a decision on Kashmir while keeping it secret with the people, especially Kashmiris, and the parliament, and if they believe that they would again do it like they previously threw Kashmir into India’s lap by allowing it to annex (the disputed territory) with the country ………, then listen, we will not let you do anything against the wishes of the people of Kashmir,” declared Ms Maryam.

When a reporter asked a question quoting the top military official to have criticised the opposition for accusing the government of selling off Kashmir despite the fact that former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was taken on board during a meeting with the army chief on the issue, Ms Nawaz simply replied that talks with India didn’t mean a “Kashmir sell-off”.

“What talks are being held (by those) sitting in other countries? Are you silently doing a deal? What discussions are being held on Kashmir? What give-and-take is being done in the name of friendship?” asked Ms Maryam, demanding that “everything should be brought before the public”.

Taking the mike, Mr Abbasi simply said the Kashmir issue was not a sport.

“Off-the-record conversation should be kept off-the-record. You will get a reply when something will be on the record,” said Mr Abbasi.

Ms Maryam’s comments came days after publishing of reports in international and local media that the top intelligence officers from Pakistan and India had held secret talks in Dubai (the UAE) in January in a fresh effort to calm tensions over Kashmir after reopening of a back channel of diplomacy by the two countries aimed at a modest roadmap to normalising ties over the next several months.

It was reported that the officials from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence and the Research and Analysis Wing, India’s external spy agency, travelled to Dubai for a meeting facilitated by the UAE government.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, however, in an interview to a Turkish magazine denied these reports.

“We are not having any peace talks at the moment and the UAE is not facilitating anything,” the foreign minister had reportedly stated in the interview conducted by the magazine in Istanbul on April 23.

Elections in AJK

Ms Maryam declared that if any effort was made in AJK to repeat what happened in the recent GB elections and the 2018 general elections, then the people of Kashmir and the PML-N workers would resist it with full force. She said that the people of Kashmir would not allow anyone to snatch the PML-N’s mandate.

On this occasion, AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider said that any effort to rig the elections would amount to support the narrative of India and its Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ms Maryam said that she would go to AJK for her party’s election campaign and said that party’s supreme leader Nawaz Sharif was also monitoring the activities and in touch with them while sitting in London. She expressed the hope that the PML-N would win the elections in AJK.

Govt bashing

Continuing her usual attack on the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government and Prime Minister Imran Khan, Ms Maryam said the ruling party MNAs and MPAs knew that they would not be able to contest the next elections on the PTI tickets as they would not be able to face the people’s wrath.

Referring to some video clips, she said the PTI people who had gone for the campaigning in NA-249 constituency in Karachi had to run away from the area because of the people’s wrath.

“I will call this government a curse because it is because of it the people are facing difficulties,” she said.

In response to a question, Ms Maryam also made a clarification about her recent TV interview in which she had been quoted as saying that the PML-N wanted to see the present government completing its five-year term.

Ms Maryam clarified that had the things in the hands of the PML-N, they would have allowed the present rulers to be completely exposed before the masses. She said that perhaps they would tolerate this “incapable and incompetent government”, but the people of this country would not be able to bear it.

Ms Maryam also condemned the murderous attack on senior journalist Absar Alam in Islamabad and the arrest of party MNA from Sheikhupura Javed Latif on treason charges.

If there's a chance for people of Kashmir to live peacefully with better economic opportunities under India and they accept it

We'll be totally fine by it infact we'll be happy for them cause after all it's the people of Kashmir we are fighting for

You genuinely think we're capable of doing that?

In a fresh tirade against the government, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz referred to the prime minister as a 'terrorist' on Wednesday, accusing him of using institutions to threaten opposition leaders and put them behind bars.

"Not even gangs and mafias commit the acts that are being committed from the Prime Minister House," Maryam said, in what appeared to be a reference to an interview of a former director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to a private media channel.

The PML-N leader's remarks came as she spoke to the media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) this afternoon.

"Never in the [country's] history have such heinous crimes been committed from inside the PM House," she said, adding that, "Chiefs of institutions are summoned and asked to frame cases [against opposition leaders]."

Maryam went on to add that institutions were being used for political engineering. "Now", she said, "people understand what mafias or gangs really are".

She further stated that it was unbecoming of a state's head to issue orders for someone's arrest as if he were a gang leader.

Maryam lauded Supreme Court judge Justice Faez Isa for "fighting back conspiracies", observing that the rulers "achieved nothing but defeat".

She demanded the formation of a judicial commission to "investigate the conspiracy of a fake reference against the SC judge."

"Imran Khan came to power after stealing votes, [and now] Pakistan is dealing with the miseries of lawlessness and unemployment."

Pakistani passport and flights, Maryam added, are being banned. "There are piles of garbage in cities; there's no such thing as governance in the country," she raged on.

The PML-N leader further said that Imran Khan has failed, adding that, "The sooner the country gets rid of this government, the better."

Concluding, she said , "This is the fight of the people for their rights and to rid themselves of an ineligible and enforced government."

To be honest anything this lady says makes me sick.
Try to avoid any thread where the title states her name unless it goes onto say that she's jailed

Wasn't it the same with JT case. They all claimed he was corrupt but then the PPP said he was about to join them and Rana the Qatil claimed JT was innocent. Some idiot claimed on here that he didn't have a problem with JT joining these family dynasties but was angry he was part of the PTI. Rest in peace logic
