Yes, no debating India, England, and Australia are the top dogs of world cricket.

But why is that? I know population may not mean much when it comes to revenue but come on Pakistan cricket still has more fans tuning in and spending money then both Australia and England cricket combined, somethings gotta give.

Anyways enough of that theory, I was thinking about this earlier and surely Pakistan has to take #4, I would imagine.

With Cricket hopefully returning to Pakistan I honestly think its only inevitable before Pakistan takes the cricket world by storm and starts becoming a bigger brand which in the end we all know what that would mean.

1 - India
2 - England
3 - Australia
4 - Pakistan
5 - South Africa

In terms of which team is better at the moment, New Zealand belong to the top three alongside India and Australia.

England, Pakistan and South Africa are next to follow.

England isn't better than Pakistan in Tests.

There is Not much difference between teams at the moment. Each of the top 5 can beat the other in suitable conditions.

Historically and in present terms that is wrong.

Historically I would take SA over England and at present I'd say we're better than England.

England in the top 3 when NZ are World Test Champions and finalists in both LOI World Cups?

Test cricket is the ultimate format to judge quality. Overall quality based on potential results hone and away - I think current rankings are

2. Nz
3. India
4. Pak
5. England
6. Saffers
7. Sri Lanka
8. West Indies
9. Afghans
10. Bangladesh
11. Zimbabwe
