Akhtar in his prime was a terrifying beast. Stats doesn't do justice to his ability. An out and out crowd puller with the most exuberant action I have ever seen.

Was an incredible spell in the 2nd innings at the Basin reserve, Wellington. Pakistan was trailing by 170 runs after the 1st innings, but his figures of 6/30 in the 2nd innings helped to put Pakistan in a winning position in the series.

Shoaib talk about these performances instead of creating needless controversies. Not like the guy is short on material.

At his best he was unplayable.

Unfortunately for one reason or another, this type of performance did not happen often enough.

What a spell this was! If only he was still playing (And bowling like that) today - could use him in NZ!

Wish, we had a bowler like Shoaib in our ongoing series against NZL instead of toothless Abbas and scattergun Naseem:(

Journey from Akhtar to Abbas lol.

Shoaib on song was something out of this world.

Brilliant spell of bowling to give pakistan a small glimour in the match after being way behind on 1st inns. Also to chase down 270 to win with batting line up we had back then was some effort.

No doubt, a firing shoaib Akhter was a unblievable sight, only had he'd taken his fitness seriously, his skill set was incredible in all conditions.

absolute treat to watch. If not for injuries and some other problems, SA wold have been so much more.

Shoaib Akhtar not fulfilling his potential of taking at least 300 wickets in test cricket is the biggest loss for Pakistan cricket. He could have been an ATG if he had a bit less ego & a bit more mind. But still, he & his fans consider him as an ATG but in reality, he is just another player who failed to fulfill his potential.
