I mean we always had talented batters but without any intelligence and ability to play long innings or not throwing away their wicket , but for the first time in many years our upcoming batters seems to have intelligence and an ability to score big and being consistent.

They are

Abdullah Shafiq (technically sound and with good stroke making and ability to play long innings along with consistency in form)

Kamran Ghulam (modern day brutal stroke maker with very high intelligence and consistency level , just need to improve against pacers)

Saud Shakil ( More like Rizwan with the bat , limited in stroke play but over comes it with mental toughness and gameplay against spin)

Omair Yousuf ( He has some problems when starting the innings but the guy once settled gets big Everytime , need to improve against outswing and bouncers)

Abdul wahid Bangalzai (very pleasing to the eye and some of his shots are sheer brutal and with power , just scored a double ton whiie he is just 19 y/o , very close to being modern day brutal batter)

Muhammad Huraira (extremely consistent ,pleasing to the eye and with good defensive technique , just need a power game to become ODI material , probably not suitable for T20s)

Haider Ali ( I was reluctant to include his name here as he seems to be the most talented one but sadly he did lack game awareness and consistency , but I just included him just for the sake of his recent form in t20s)

Rohail Nazir ( simply a player who would stick around at the wicket and will try to finish the game on his own , isn't hugely gifted but his batting technique is definitely not the worst , he again with high intelligence)

It's almost after 2 decades that we have produced highly talented and intelligent batters all at once.

Definitely agree thiers a good batch of youngsters coming throw which is excellent.

however from the list above thier Is only one player who has brutal strength and power than is haider ali.

The rest of the batters for example Saud Shakeel,Abdullah Shafique relie on skill and are technical players.

Kamran Ghullam,Saud,Abdullah, should be in the Odi squad/test squad.

Haider ali,Kamran Ghullam should be in the t20s and odi squad.

Omair Bin yousuf,Hurraira need to play Shaheen tours and Domestic competitions for now.

Abid and Butt must go.Youngsters must be given chances against Bangladesh,WI & Zimbabwe.Shafique is technically very good.

I would include Sahibzada Farhan in the list as well. He has improved a lot and is knocking the door after his recent performance in national t20.

Yea forget to add Farhan , he did actually improved a lot and currently having very good season.

Unless they face International bowlers in International matches you cannot judge. At best they have potential, but to realize the potential many factors are involved.

For the potential to turn into something tangible it needs many variables to fall into place. We had the same in the early 000s and nothing came of it. Reasons included the low intelligence of the guys, poor domestic structure, inconsistent selection policies and poor batting culture. Let's hope this time around 2 of this list become good international players. As mentioned by other posters we need say goodbye to AA, Butt and Abid. We can get rid of the 2 openers with no blowback because they don't score, AA will be a harder sacking but it needs to happen asap

Every year we get new crop of 'potential greats' who turn out to be duds. Who can forget how Hussain Talat was touted as the next bit thing and then he couldn't buy a run in internationals. There are many such examples.

The only batsman who has really justified his hype has been Bobby.

need to hold our horses, shafique is arguably the most promising of the lot, as he was scored his runs in varying conditions and formats despite relative inexperience.

a lot of the other youngsters are filling their boots on placid tracks against sub par bowling attacks.

bangalzai looks a lot like asad shafiq as a batter, haider despite his excellent record opening in FC hasnt played a FC game for northerns for more than a year now.

i do not understand the hype behind rohail nazir, the few occasions ive seen him bat he did not look particularly special.

you can split this list into three

1. knocking on door
saud and kamran

2. significant potential
abdullah and haider

3. long way to go
bangalzai, omair, hurraira and rohail.
