Leading up to this important series:

Mohammad Amir Played 1 T20 & 4 T10

Shoaib Malik Played 5 T10

Babar Azam played 3 T20s and One 4 day game

Sarfraz Ahmed 4 T10 games

ONE Warmup game

And then the series.

Is this the way to prepare for a series which we know is a great test of our abilities and in a place where we have a horrible record?

Whats wrong with the prep? We played the fastest format of the game and should have been raring to go.
instead we got stage fright.

The part where I agree is that Hasan ali and Aamir have played too much cricket in recent times.

OUR preparation was not good but the issue was team selection nothing else.give hafeez Azhar and Malik 5 matches and the reulst willl be the same.

Ability to play 50 overs vs T10 - for bowlers and batsmen is important

A OD tournament before arrival or arrival 2 weeks before which would have cut into T10 time...

I thought Mickey Arthur being the consumate professional would have taken steps to guard against this. Extremely poor to turn up for the tour of NZ just like that. Its not just the batsmen who need to aclimitize but the bowlers and fielders as well.

The bowling lengths and type of bowlers required to excel in places like NZ, Australia, South Africa are different to the lengths in the UAE. Have to follow the IK model of turning up for a tour in such conditions atleast a month in advance and play atleast 3 practice games before the series. At the very max you can use the aclimitization excuse for the first 2 games but thats it, after that you are expected to acclimitize to the local conditions.

I am a firm believer of organizing domestic one day cup of only 3teams drawn from best performers of various tournaments going around in country and it

Any touring teams very rarely get many warm up games or acclimatization time when going abroad. Pakistan has tour new zealand a few times in last 3/4 years so there should be no excuses for not being ready for the conditions.
