Pakistan (131/3) cruise past Sri Lanka (128/7) by 7 wickets in third match of the T20I Tri-Series

Its now too late for experimental roles in T20s as the WC is round the corner.

After the WC, Babar, Usman and Agha atleast have to be kept away from T20 cricket.

This is exactly what I typed above. We could suck his SR, but his issue of leaving the Pitch with Pak high and dry was the issue. Some pure bats do have low SR in t20, but they manage to stay till the end and help getting over the hump. Babar seldom did.
 
I’m trying to find a trophy for babar for my next X post guys (saya are pushing me) - give me some ideas
 
You can’t even get Salman to retire now

It makes no sense for him to retire whilst winning games as skipper and Bobsy is clinging on
 
I hope Farhan bat the same way in the future. I saw him mostly just time the ball, regardless of 4 and 6, in the gap. That is what we need. Not muscle the ball over the ropes. That is lunatic.

The only person to break this top 3 can be maaz but (sigh) some fans told me “he’s not ready”
 
Pakistan missing the trick by not giving chances to test bench strength. No point of playing Babar or Salman in this match. This team is good enough to beat This SL team without Babar and Salman Agha. They are not gaining anything by playing same players

But then its harsh on them to have high expectations straight away and if they dont then everyone wants them out.

This is what has happened to Hassan Nawaz, 2-3 decent games then he hasn't shown up and now out of the team.

Hasan delivered at no. 4. Then suddenly on turners in UAE. Team tried to make him a no. 6 slogger. After 2-3 failures. He was then dropped for Talat
 
Maaz sadaqat can easily replace Babar or Agha in this team. He can bat at no..3 in place of Babar.
1. Farhan
2. Saim
3. Sadaqat
4. Fakhar

This top 4 looks better than the current Top 4 although all are left handers batters

I want Pak batting to be really tested. We will only know how good this line-up is when the target is 180+

Hasan Nawaz is low on confidence right now . Bringing him to the side at this time will put more pressure on him to perform. Let him perform at domestic circuit and fix his batting flaws to come back stronger. Meanwhile pakistan can try Irfan Niazi at no 5 . He is live wire in the field and a very safe catcher or they can try Abdul Samad

I disagree. It is better to experiment Nawaz as an opener vs Saim. IF he failed as an opener, then send him to domestic.

Fakhar and Farhan should be PERMANENT T20 openers, but this experiment is worth doing.
 
Babar is mis fit in this line up . I was willing to accept he will play at number 3 in WC but looking at his style of play he gonna mess up big time in pressure games . Let Fakhar play 3 , Agha is getting worst day by day no idea what to do with him since WC is just couple of months away . Not sure if changing captain will be right decision

This team management will never do this. There are so many options for opening spot . They wont be doing any more experiment this time with opening spot just few months before WC . I think opening is sealed for Farhan and Saim

Well...I typed it ONLY because they have been doing it just before the WC. I am ABSOLUTELY NOT in favor of these experiments just before the WC. They were needed to provide assurance to Fakhar and Farhan that they WILL be opening mo matter what. But hell...they have been doing it.
While they have been doing it, they might as well do what makes MOST sense. It is crazy to see Fakhar dropped way down in the lower middle just to accommodate the tuk tuk KINGS/PRINCESS

We always look for bench strength and now we have bowlers sitting on the bench, like Wasim Jr. who can put up these kinds of performances. That's what we always wanted, having a perfect bench. Salman was a bench kind of a bowler a few series back and now he's becoming a front line bowler as well, it is something I wanted to have but now it's tough making a playing XI. [Farhan?] We always wanted to start well, and he's someone who if he bats for three, four overs, he can bat like that. He can take the game away from any opposition. We're very close to having a perfect playing XI, and giving chances to fringe players, who are coming in and chipping in."

Dasun Shanaka: "We aren't a team that should perform like this, we're better than this. We feel very bad today, but looking forward to the other two games. The intent was not there, we're losing wickets in clusters. Since we arrived here we have struggled to find rhythm batting in these pitches. Besides if you wanna go that route you know well that I don't think Rizwan is a bad captain.
 
I'm hoping Shadab recovers and we put him as batter only (but knowing Pak they will ask Nawaz to sit down).

We gonna have to find a way to get a workable top 6 for the world cup.

Yes - it was out.

A fielder catching the ball near the boundary must land fully inside the field for it to count. If they touch the ball again in the air beyond the boundary, they still need to land inside. This rule applies even if someone else finishes the catch.
 
Wondering where did Hasan Ali go , he made a great comeback 5 months ago taking a 5-fer

Naseem with no improvement and no performance still in the squad.

Good to see Wasim jr back m he was sidelined due to injury way too long.

Yes.

Zimbabwe have some good players. I think they are an okay team in T20 format (can upset big teams sometimes).

Zimbabwe can surely defeat Pakistan...and in final would be great for them. And bad for Salman
