This bowler run out has to be one of the most dubious ways to get dismissed.

You almost always go with the bowlers word that he has laid a finger on it whereas replays are hardly conclusive. Even if it gets referred to the TV umpire, the TV umpire never checks if the ball touched the hand or not. He's only seeing if the batsmen made it back to the crease or not.
