Babar punishes most of the bad balls. Will give him that. But he is yet to display that dominating bowlers by playing outside his comfort zone.

Main problem is that they lost games they should have won. Failed to defend vs afghanistan on a slow pitch. Didn't play out all the overs against SA which would have given more time for the last wicket to be taken.
 
Babar and Rizwan had the lion share of the powerplay

Yes. But they knew it will come to NRR and they already had bang game which were winning comfortably. And this chacha and rizwan wasted so many balls offcourse instructed by management to just do normal chase.
 
they found some movement but even than it's still typically slow in the first 10.
Match doesn't have any bearing on anything, but even still

That is not easy, haven't seen much batters do that except Kohli. But Kohli also has a luxury of taking risks when the team is on winning streak most of the time. When team is winning everything looks sweet.
 
A special arrangements be made for players when returning home, parade will be done for the moral victory we achieved by playing infront of 132k Indians
 
Looks like the entire batting lineup depends on Fakhar to build a fast platform

Agreed. In a better side he might just have settled into being a test specialist.

It’s not his fault that the nations hopes rest on him because the competition is 36 year old Sarafaraz and Asif Ali.
 
We simply do not play enough 50 over games, coming into the world cup India had played more then double the number of games then us since the last World Cup

Would have helped a little to chase it down faster I agree but it's a drop in a vast ocean of issues.

Kohli did that even in 2012 against Malinga by using bat like a tooth pick. He wasn't even that fit back then.

They were more comfortable in short term success to win that match comfortably rather than going to chase it quickly to improve nrr for long term benefit.
 
Looks like a perfect stat padding match for Babar n rizy. They are not even trying to win this dead rubber.

Babar is horribly exposed in this WC. I hope nobody will call him king. Many of his team mates will lose their job of unnecessary appreciating babar

He is going the Chanderpaul, Samaraweera, Sarwan route. Many runs, high average with no impact at all.

4 years of planning with nothing to show for. That's the disaster which is yours truly, the PCB.

PAK are to play their first Test at Perth in a little more than a month.

Don't think anybody in PAK can get on top of the bounce there.

Even then the NRR was already in the dirt from the india and aussie phaintys. Cautious approach our undoing in the first (which pandya said after the game allowed them to remain confident) and then the bowling in the latter which has let us down all tournament. Those areas are really where we have fallen short, way more then taking a few extra overs to chase against Bangladesh.
 
Babar should step down before he's fired as captain. That would be the honourable thing to do

Shan Masood and Faheem Ashraf are good players of that short ball.

Although it's completely different context which you are talking about. This is low pitch of Kolkata in 50 Overs game chasing 300+. That will be true bounce pitch in a Test match.

Even on a true surface , I don't see anyone who can handle the bounce apart from maybe Shan and I'm not sure he will tour.
 
Saud should score a big one here. He is already 28 and so no excuses of being a newbie etc.
