Pakistan [239/9] defeat Afghanistan [215/9] by 24 runs to reach the Super League QF of U19CWC

2 wickets in 2 overs usual pakk collapse..
ahmed khan gone first balll...where is maaz sadaqat what is this pak team doing with their line up

Skipper is to be blamed for this collapse, he got himself run out, there was never a run there. Noor Ahmad has still 2 overs left

Ijaz Ahmed is shocking coach not good enough for u11s coaching team

Ijaz is a joke a coach
Left arm and leg spinner bowling, this joker brings in right hander instead of left hander

What on earth is this batting order. One of the highest scorers in the National U19 with a solid technique is coming in at 8 after a bowling allrounder. Even if you ignore the deserving players who missed out due to poor selection (such as Azan Awais), the whole structure is incorrect. Ideally Faseeh and Shehzad open the batting, followed by Sadaqat and Qasim at #3 and #4. Keep Irfan Niazi and Haseebullah for the latter part of the innings (tell Niazi to hit since he clearly cannot construct an innings), with this Abbas guy, Ahmed Khan and Zameer ending the innings. God knows what the plan is right now, with the power hitters going at the start and accumulators coming in at #8.

Ramiz Raja needs to sack Ijaz Ahmed after this WC

He picks a darter instead of two wrist spinners in the squad

Abbas is horrendous, doesn't merit selection at all. I thought he was a middle order hitter with his sort of stats, but if he is indeed a top order batsman as someone mentioned then this seems like a clear and obvious parchi selection

absolutely my point. the batting positions are all over the place and surely bangzai could have made it after COVID as well if they really wanted to win the cup

Definitely not a top order or middle order batter at best number 8.

noticed that thy keep sweeping the spinners and missing, they did this against Zimbabwe u19's as well.

England scored 362. It's amazing how they created a complete cultural revolution in white ball cricket after the 2015 World Cup debacle. Flows right through to their youth system. The downside of it is they can't find half decent batters for their Test side.

Pakistan have been nervous throughout this innings. Hardly any conviction in their shots

Ridiculous from Ijaz to not send Maaz up the order. Could definitely have made 250+, especially if Qasim was allowed some hitting at the death

We will see how they do once they play in the quarter and semi final.

I think shahzad looks like excellent player.
Faseeh definitely in tests/domestic first xi
Qasim Akram will play for Pakistan soon.

Why is there no speedgun for our bowling, was looking forward to seeing Zeeshan's pace

This opening pair isn't the quickest tbh. Expected more from Zameer, at least Ahmed Khan is getting decent shape

So far, Ahmad has been the more impressive bowler, both in terms of movement and control, even though he's slower.

whats is his pace showing?

Max speed up until now has been 135 kph (but only 5 of his deliveries have shown reported speeds). He seems to be rushing the batsmen, but after hearing about him reaching 140-145 kph and being the fastest bowler in this WC, this is still disappointing

Seems like Zameer was already injured. He has his foot wrapped in something. If so, this is seriously irresponsible from Ijaz.

i saw him I've against Zimbabwe u19's, no speed gun their, seemed like he was clocking 87-90mph - but he did bowl too many short deliveries

Scratch that, reaching speeds of 133-135 kph with an injured foot/ankle is very impressive
