274 is the target.

Pakistan batting is brittle but can this be the day when they prove us wrong?

Excellent bowling by Pakistan on a flat surface. Now over to batsmen

All depends on the top 4. Atleast 3 of them need to preform.

We need to chase such middling totals, if we are to be taken as a competitive side. Not expecting much from this team though, they might just be shot out for very less.

Lets hope we get off to a good start. I can see SA pacers peppering both openers with short balls early on.

I would like to see Fakhar play with intent. A good start here would put is in a good position. If he isn't going to playbwitht hat intent, his selection was pointless. I did want Rizwan to open.

Let them get 30 extra runs because of Haris and Shadabs poor bowling. But this still isn’t bad

Why did he say South Africa will field their best side for 2 games?

This is that awkward target where no one will appreciate you if you chase it down, because it was 'below par', But it's tricky enough.

Fakhar doesn't seem to have improved much since I saw him last, again gets out cheaply.

This very average batting line up won't chase this score down against this bowling attack.

Fans were expecting us to whitewash SA lolol

Pak chasing 270 on SA pitches is worthy of being shown on comedy channel !

I hope all those players have a terrible IPL and embarrass themselves very very badly

I don't see Ngidi and Miller playing much. Rabada and Norje were excellent last year.

Also Mark Boucher said yesterday that there is a document between the BCCI and CSA that allows South African players to be available for the IPL. Don't think CSA could do much here.

Nothing special delivery on which Fakhar gave away his wicket

Babar,Rizwan, and Imam are going to have to do a lot of the work here. You can't really expect Asif Ali and Daanish Aziz to do a lot of work here.

Could’ve at least finished the ODI series but we live in shameless times

The way Fakhar holds the bat he just can’t play it straight. Amazing he hasn’t fixed this issue after all these years.

One of these 2 has to bat through. One of them has to look to attack to keep the pressure on South Africa. I like both players but you can't afford both players to go at a low strike rate. As this will put a lot of pressure on an unreliable late middle order.

If Pakistan pull this off, they will never get a better chance to win an ODI series against a good side away from home

Kevin peterson said getur head over the ball/in the direction of the stroke....if u do that, u can get away with minimal / less footwork....frankly, fakhar Zaman did neither....

People critisized the 1 of 20 but forgot about our very own imam.

Dude have some shame. The series was set AFTER IPL dates were announced. If BCCI gets so petty they can easily arrange their tours or IPL during PSL to harm it

Not sure why Imam is leaving so many balls..

The difference height and action makes. This tall duo is making the pitch look like that at WACA

Fakhar is just a hype player. He has not improved but whatever skill he had is going to downhill. Rubbish player.

National duty should always be the top priority no matter what.

Giving bowlers too much respect here. It's only one wicket down

Just shows the mentality og these players. Before the match the captain said they will play fearless cricket.

If we lose a wicket in the next few overs we are in trouble. This is the problem when you don't look to score. If you lose a wicket it just puts you under more pressure.

We should use Haider to open innings in place of Fakhar, Haider is much younger, much more talented. So I don't think we need Fakhar to be honest who hasn't learned anything despite playing international cricket for the past 5 years.

Exactly!!!! Now-a-days players are too busy to save their best for franchise leagues. Other boards should give ultimatum to their players choose franchise leagues or national team. Rebel players shouldn't be allowed to play even in their own domestic leagues. If they prefer franchise leagues let them build their skill by hiring personal trainer.

Are we trying to play for a draw here? Its not a test match

Ah gotta love how before every tour they say they are going to play "positive & fearless" cricket and then resort to this type of garbage.

Can't say it's surprising.

Seconded. Haider Ali should be playing these games against Rabada and Lungi.

Am sure 15/3 after 10 overs will look great

At least if you play with a positive intent you put the opponents under pressure and if you do lose a wicket after scoring quickly, allows a new batter to settle in as runs will be on the board.

If one of these goes, we will have newbie Danish and hitter Asif Ali to follow. We can always manage the run rate later. I feel Rizwan should come in next.

I just hate it when top order wastes power plays . You can easily score at 6 rpo on any kind of pitch in powerplays .
I don't like the way Indian openers bat,but this an another level

Our batsmen are following Misbah theory. Tuk tuk and preserve wickets till 40 overs, which doesn't work that way.

Babar letting go of wide half volley hit me balls, interesting, not the fearless cricket they were supposed to be playing. But early stages again, they are probably waiting for the 'andhar ke jaanwar to jaagna'

Look at how india and england approach 1st 10 overs of an inns and then we get this pathetic effort from pakistan.
