Da Future Hit should really use this series to make a place for the test series. :amin

Ideal choice once Misbah/Yon retire.

Ideal choice once Misbah/Yon retire.

Hopefully!
He deserves it, he preformed well against SL A a while ago and he's been performing in domestic cricket as well.

Behind Babar, Rizwan, Haris (if he is still on his feet :inti), Fawad, and even Umar Akmal now, with Maqsood probably lingering somewhere too as he's been made captain.

Place in the squad looking distant for Amin, at least 3-4 years away I'd say. And this is after the likes of Salahuddin/Ali Waqas have gone AWOL.

Nah mate, he'll cut in front of line a lot like Shafiq.

Shafiq, Amin are 2 players who the PCB higher powers have identified with potential, so until the age of 31-32 they will keep finding their way back in front of the unfavored chaps like Fawad, Umar. They can fail as much as they want for a specified number of chances but will be backed because of their obvious talent.

Haris is behind him in any case. Zero domestic cricket for 2 years probably, he has a lot of catching up to do.

Amin has the best pullshot in the country now that Hafu is history. :hafeez

You can't be serious

After the likes of Misbah and younis are gone, Pakistan should fast track Umar Amin into the team. He is AHEAD of Harris Sohail, Umar Akmal and Fawad Alam.
Harris Sohail isn't even back from his injury after two years
Umar Akmal?! Are you kidding me? The man had to beg his way back into the ODI team. He is nowhere near the radar for test.
Lastly, Fawad Alam. He has no technique and he simply won't be able to survive. Sure he'll score against SL and Bangladesh but he'll be a sitting duck in NZ Australia and England.
Umar Amin needs to be fast tracked into the team after the retirement of Misbah and Younis.

useless tour, pakistan will gain nothing from playing zimbabwe a. Should have toured bangla brothers instead.

It's sad to see Rehan Afridi always get the snub, while a nothing wicket keeper batsman like Saifullah Bangash gets selected over him.

We should invest in Rehan Afridi, he can be our future wicket keeper in Test cricket.

Umar Amin is overrated, not good enough.

Ghulam is nor playing according to espncricinfo. Pakistan has gone with the bowling of Ehsan, mir hamza, Asghar and Azizullah.

Shame really wanted Ghulam to bowl Well.

Hoping to see Fahim and Mudassar playing we need at least 2 fast bowlers

Super excited for:

- Umar Amin (next big thing! batting superstar)
- Saud
- Jaahid

Asghar is already too good.

Zimbabwe A bowled out for 197

3 wickets each for Ehsan Adil and Mohammad Asghar

I like Ehsan Adil..he can be another Imad Wasim for us if he puts his heart into it more

Good start for Ehsan. Hope he tops the charts in this tour, will be very useful in Australia and New Zealand.

39 runs from 11 overs against Zim A.

We are well and truly minnows in this format

There are some national team players in this Zimbabwe A side and they've still been bundled out cheaply.

Jesus, they just look finished as a cricketing nation.

Umar amin batting well. Looking forward to see how saud and saad ali go on this tour.

Seeing off the new ball maybe:shakib

There are two new balls in ODI cricket now, so by seeing off the new ball they would be tuk tuking up until the 36th-38th over. This explains why they are batting at a RR of less than 4 :mc

It's entire Zimbabwe national team playing under A banner. Shoaib Maqsood is finished!!!!!

Man this should've been broadcasted. It's a shame that we can't watch these two CLH's batting together.

Lol Umar Amin finally found a level and opposition he can succeed against.

6 years younger saud is more fluent than him....despite ofonly one forst class season behind him it shows the difference...

Fantastic display of ODI cricket for the 1980s.

Misbah would have thoroughly enjoyed this chase if it was being broadcast.

Amin has scored 79 runs from 110 balls. If you remove 10 fours, that is 39 runs from 100 balls. MashaAllah, Da Future CLH making everybody proud.

Lol CLH still tuk tuking away when the runs required are less than 10

typically Pakistani ODI knock

this knock qualifies Amin for Pakistan ODI captaincy

People still hating on Amin lmao
If this was Babar, all of PP would've went crazy.
Do you guys really expect him to go all guns blazing when wickets are falling and pakistan A have such a long tail.

Yay, more reasons to party. Woooooooo. Yaaaaaaaaaay.

Dances into the isles and does the dab (badly of course) but still.

They were chasing 197 fgs, they can afford to take their time. Let's see how they play when they bat first or have a bigger target to chase

Mediocre teams have nothing else to do, so they chase small targets by utilizing most of their overs.

World class teams try to finish the game ASAP, so they can spend more time with their friends and family.

Yeah totally, whatever helps you feel better.

Pakistan won and that's all that matters.

You nearly gave me a heart attack bro. I went back to Cricinfo to check and thank God It's Pakistan A. Amin in the international team will be a national epidemic.

I am not sure actually what was the purpose of this game for PAK A. First, this is an A side of Mugabe's Zimboks - probably better club teams in Karachi will win against them, so win is not a confidence booster here. Still fine, it's a foreign tour & opportunity for few players.

But, I failed to realize the take out of this match. They played as if the result was in doubt. First, no clue why they shouldn't bat first - this is a tour to test batsmen, not bowlers. Bowling first, PAK C, D or E can bundle those ZIMBOKs for sub 200 score & then stroll to the target in 45 overs. They should have batted first after winning toss & bat to post 300+; that could be the only positive intent. When the opponent is too weak, only take out from the match can be competing against own targets - set stiff targets for own team & try to beat that. As said, batting first 300+, or chasing <200 inside 35 overs. Finally, Bhaia Maqsood batted at 4 for his usual score these days & they are opening with Jaahid in a List A match - as if Azhar is not enough already.

Then the bowling - 4 specialist bowlers bowling 40 overs & 10 overs shared by part timers - as if we are watching 1987 WC Final. Ideally, Saud, Amin & Fakher should have bowled at least 25 overs between them, for a future prospect of No. 6 in National team. May be Asghar could have bowled 10 overs as he is next in line - not sure what was the purpose of using Adil, Hamza & the other pacer for full quota. Bowling first was a failure here as well - neither they tested their part-timers, nor they bundled Zimboks for 150. They are proving nothing more than what we already know.

From the match, I think Amin might get a call for the Test side, if not against WI, NZ is a good chance; while Saud shouldn't get a call before next September - if he gets a call & fail in NZ, AUS, WI (for the only match he will get) - Inzi & Co. 'll find an excuse to dump him for 5 years. He should play one more domestic season, A tours & then make the team in next home season in UAE. I don't want MoHa cashing on at Saud's expense next home season, after dodging the NZ, AUS & WI tour.

Early days, still 4 matches to go. May be we'll see some "Intent" from PAK A team going forward - I would have liked to see Saud opening for Jaahid & PAK A batting first, while the "all-rounders" (Amin, Fakhar & Saud), given a full quota of 10 overs each.

awesome Umar Amin; he should be next in line for test team after Misbah retire

I was talking from the PCB's perspective.

Also, Umar Akmal is back into the reckoning, and Inzi also recognizes Fawad.

If Amin can consistently score for Pakistan, then don't mind him at all. Nothing against him or his fans. :amin

Most of the Zimbabwe A players are there national team players, guys like Sikander Raza and sibanda were playing.

Atleast check the scorecards
