My assessment for PAF acquiring a twin-age Jet is for PAF to take strikes deep inside India and strike its soft underbelly. This has Stealth technology (of course) but it is also twin-engine with the range and strike capability beyond any other platform in PAF inventory.

PAF have shifted its strategy of having one engine to twin engine jets for some reasons. especially with a 5th Gen fighter with stealth tech.
they are looking for qualitative edge with tech.
IAF wont have an answer for that atleast for 8 to 10 years.
