5 pacers and no specialist spinners, instead relying on the all-rounders for spin. We just don't learn do we.
Does anyone has any confusion now to agree that MoHa's biggest bank is Ul Haq?
In a 15 member team, he has picked 5 pacers for UAE and NO WAY PAK is going to play 3 young batsmen (Farhan, Talat & Asif) in starting XI, means Ul Haq has ensured MoHa must start in T20s - probably as opener as well.
Sarfraz has saved his job at Abu Dhabi with bat and credit goes to him, would be my MoM in this game unless Abbas takes another 5; otherwise I would have put a bet here that MoHa would lead PAK in WC 2019.
Really making me desperate to say that now I am not sure whom to pick as CS between Ul Haq, Haroon Rashid & Iqbal Qashim.
Hafeez has been a very good T20 player and although, he is old, we must not let ageism prevent us from selecting the best players.
Any T20 lineup with Hafeez at three is not 'brilliant'.
A reminder of his 'brilliance' in T20Is:

And this is not a small sample size, mind you.
Oh, and he's taken a grand total of 7 wickets in these 29 matches.
Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim are front-line spinners. Posts like this make me wonder if people would moan about a team having no specialist pacers if the bowling attack was headed by Imran Khan, Richard Hadlee and Shaun Pollock.
Imad was recently the #1 ranked T20 bowler while Shadab is a fantastic, young prospect. The fact that they can also bat should not make people underrate their bowling.
I wonder how a Bangladeshi knows so much about the conspiracies in Pakistan cricket. Hafeez has been a very good T20 player and although, he is old, we must not let ageism prevent us from selecting the best players.

Last PSL was pretty poor for Asghar. Agreed about Umaid Asif.
But thing about Waqas Maqsood is that he has been performing consistently in every format for sometime now
What happened to Rumman Raees..wasn't he our T20 specialist
Our specialist spinner Raza Hasan has had an ordinary series against New Zealand A of all teams. Playing rubbish spinners just for the sake of playing a specialist spinner is not on.
Hasan Ali is one of your match-winners in LOI cricket. The reason Pakistan cricket is in deep trouble is because of people like you who would like to see young players dropped after one or two failures.Hasan Ali has an economy rate of 8.2 in T20s he'll do a lot better than that for sure playing fast bowlers for the sake of it doesn't work as they can be more leaky than spinners.
Not a bad squad. Amir was okay in the Tri-series so surprised he's dropped from the T20I team too. No idea why Hafeez is there, his T20I record is awful, but I guess the fact that he can bowl works in his favour.

Confident Mickey will start Hafeez on the bench, like he did in the tri-series.
This is really not very factual. Posted the stats earlier in this very thread.
Yes Hafeez has been awesome in T20s recently averaging 16 at a strike rate of 100 in the last 30 matches.
Amir dropped is a great step, I want him to earn his place back in the side and
You are pretty much disregarding half of his game. He has the 4th best economy-rate out of all spinners to have played at least 60 T20 matches.
He has been bowling less than one over per innings in recent times.

So basically, his standard contribution per match since the start of 2014 is:
16 runs off 16 balls
0.5 overs bowled, 6 runs conceded and 1 wicket every fourth match.
Seriously?![]()
Isn't that because half the time he has not been allowed to bowl? I may be wrong on this but I think Hafeez is eligible to bowl right now and should do so in the upcoming series.
Mohammed Amir left out again. I think the selection committee are giving him a hint now!
Guy hasn't been able to buy a wicket for the last two years, will be difficult to dislodge the guys that are performing but I guess his golden boy image will see him back sooner than later.
