Pakistan appears to be playing a key backchannel role in possible U.S-Iran negotiations

All sides will lose.

But the longer this goes on, Iranian regime will lose more than the Americans and Israelis and Arabs.

They have resisted, but they cannot win. They are a country suffering from sanctions, battling two superpowers, surrounded by hostile states and internal trouble makers.
It is in their best interest to settle if the US is willing to. They may not get this chance again.

5-6 days ago I thought they would continue as the Americans were beligerent. but the statement from Trump regarding no attacks to power infrastructure was significant. If ever there is a time for Iran to come out of this, they can.

And you never know with Trump, he could offer something significant, that benefits both the Americans and Iranians financially, and even have the Ayatollah at the White House next week calling him his great friend.
The Pak posters here do not agree with you and are belligerent - iran should not stop , Iran will bring the US to its knees blah bah etc etc but what you said is the reality. It is actually a great chance for Iran actually. The Iranian regime needs to get out of this US is satan mindset and try to settle , this would be the best outcome with no further loss of life and resources. But , you know what , common sense is not common exemplified by some of the Pak posters posts above.

Do you believe all the Arab monarchies did not want this war? From what I can tell, at least the Saudis were really pushing for it. Also there have been recent revelations how UAE are staunchly pro israel.

I believe US probably did not want this war as bad as Israel and some Arab states from what I can tell.
Sure the US went along with the Israeli‑driven escalation but the US also has its own motives to attack Iran.

As for the Arabs; they surely want a regime change now.

oh my, poor wittle arabs. now they want a regime change after their lands were used to attack the same sovereign land. lol

Probably the reason why Iran doesn’t trust India either considering how they sold out their Marine vessel and the fact that Modi was choooosing off Netanyahu

Its not that simple. No country or leader wants to be in a war or seeing its people being bombed on a daily basis. This is not about some posters sitting behind a screen. People still follow a certain narrative but its way more complicated.

Afghansitan is not a terrorist state..it doesn't sponsor terrorists .it has rabid Islam who are focused on destroying women in their own country..sponsored and supported by terrorist state Pakistan

Israel might be accused of genocide and apartheid but not of terrorism...which terror org does Israel sponsor or support

israel is bombing countries unprovoked all through the middle east and has committed a genocide on the indigenous population of Palestine while replacing them with Europeans. When it gets to this level of misinformation and propaganda, then words like terrorist mean nothing any more.

pakistan has a long history of walking diplomatic tight ropes, and if they manage to pull this off, which is still a huge uncertainty, it will be a very big feather in the historical cap of pakistans geopolitical milestones. post operation sindoor pak has leveraged its visibility as a connection between east and west, the global south, "pariah" states and the developed world. pakistan stands to gain a lot from having this issue resolved without having to back either shias or sunnis in this conflict.

indian saltiness is illogical, if not particularly surprising, they pride themeselve on their neutrality, and when no one cares about them they do the surprised pikachu face.
