Pakistan are still settling for below-par totals despite all the talk about positive intent

Yes the bowling at the end was a bit brainless , especially to perera who is a weak off side hitter but make no mistake these pitches are absolute graveyards for pacers with playground sized boundaries.

Knowing Gaddafi stadium very well Pakistan have got below par totals in both games mainly due to the lack of intent from Shehzad in the powerplay. The guy gets dropped from the Odi side for being too slow and proceeds to open the batting for the t20 side . Its extremely difficult to produce a wicket taking ball here so a run a bowl effort is criminal at the top .
Also the batting order needs more clarity . Sarfraz isnt a t20 finisher , neither is Imad or Nawaz your powerhitters .
Cant believe that Shady Sharjeel and fixer latif were the only two power hitters in the country ??
Rant over . Great to see a competitive game of cricket .

You can blame this guy for it:

OO boy!! 1 game lost and knives/swords are out. Shezzy gotta go PERIOD. 43(34) on a flat deck, wonder what he had done if it was a bowling pitch. played almost 6 overs out of 20.

Overreaction. We lost one game and just barely too.

Plus, this wasn't near our best bowling lineup.

Though I do think that batting needs to improve for the next match. Especially Fakhar and Sarfraz.

Dont care about the defeat at all .
Id rather root for the world 11 on this trip but the batting order and strategy annoys me because it's obviously not going to work for any extended period of time.

The 194 would have been 220 if India were batting

174 would have been 200

One more thing I noticed, Pakistani batsmen barely clear the ropes, even though they have been bought in quite a lot. Babar can't slog sweep

Was disappointed by Mickey's comments (whilst Pakistan were batting) that they were looking to set 170-180. Easily should have been aiming for 200+.

Is it the same Shehzad some are criticizing who did a decent job in both matches ? Some people have personal issue with this guy.

Kick Shehzad out and everything will be fine.

We kicked him out in CT and won the tournament. Other teams have match-winners, this guy's an official match-loser.

Dropping him is only half the story. Still need some power-hitters.

Get Yamin and Talat in. We don't need power-hitters just positive stroke players.

Yes, both these players need to be given a decent run in the team. Play Talat as a specialist batsman for now (whilst Azhar works on his bowling).

I am happy Yamin was given a central contract, but it's disappointing Talat wasn't.

Shezzy and Babar have no place in the T20 team.

Tuktuk masters at the top

I have a feeling Fakar will score big in 3rd T20. If he does, Pak will score 230 easily.

"Bobby" scored at a lower SR and hit fewer boundaries than Shehzad this innings lol :danish

Babar isn't an ideal T20 player either but way better than Shehzad. You are a fan of Shehzad, right? Can you please tell me why? Honestly, I am genuinely curious about how this guy can have fans who actually think he belongs in the LOI team.

I was only referring to this particular game - cannot attribute this loss to Shehzad when others did worse.

To you answer your question :

1) Age on his side
2) Long term potential
3) Ability to play big innings and has good array of shots.
