Impressively, four countries tie for #1 for earning a living while operating a social enterprise. Canada was the only winner from the previous year in this category. Finland and Australia moved up respectively seven and two ranks to tie for #1.

Pakistan, despite having limited government support and being difficult to sell to businesses and government agencies, still commands #1 for earning a living. The nation's comeback in this category is a remarkable feat given the country was ranked #30 in 2016. The improvement of livable income may be because Pakistan has become a more open market for do-good companies to sell to the general public.

Subhanallah!

The younger generation voted for IK, and the faith is paying off.

Naya Pakistan indeed!

:)

PTI Govt really need to find a way to get Paypal in Pak market. Our IT sector is losing so much because of the unavailability of Paypal in Pakistan

Amazing.

"One of the three countries that made the most progress is Pakistan, leaping from #32 in 2016 to #14 overall this year. According to U.S News, Pakistan scored #73 on quality of life, making it one of the worse places to live. Yet, the nation managed to tie with Canada, Australia, and Finland at #1 for the best places to make a living.

Government support and access to non-financial assistance in Pakistan lag behind most countries. However, the nation scored exceptionally high for women in leadership positions and ease of accessing investment."

Pakistan went from #32 to #14 for the "best countries to be an social entrepreneur" category.

Not really that surprised. There must be loads of opportunities in the developing world to make money. Just a shame you can't buy standards and ethics of law enforcement, without them it will always detract from it being a good place to live.

What are the reason for Paypal not to be available in Pakistan?

Anything that goes right = credit goes to PTI.

Anything that goes wrong = not PTI’s fault, it will take time to overturn the mess of PMLN and PPP.

The wisdom of your average PTI supporter never fails to amaze.

Yeah the wisest amongst us is a person who voted for PTI not once but TWICE but still keeps crying about their governance.

+1. So many people who may want to move there cannot until law and order prevail.
