Babar Azam speaking at end of Day 1:

"The idea was to lose as few wickets as possible and make good progress"

"Azhar and I kept on saying to each other that we needed to continue building this partnership"

"The pitch seems to have some help for spinners"

"There is also help for swing for fast-bowlers although the ball isnt coming on that quickly; Its not too bad a pitch for batsmen as well"

"At the moment we are just interested in partnerships and we aren't thinking of an ideal score for this pitch"

"The rain causes outfield to slow down which is a problem for the batting side"

"The batsmen aren't bothered about our past batting performance and are concentrating on the task ahead"

I think we need 500 looking for an innings victory.
That would mean getting a move on today, and 3 days in the field trying to force this. If we have time we can bat again but if rain plays spoilsport enforce the follow on.
Obviously need to ensure we are not in a position for a repeat of day 5 from the last test

Pakistan should look to bat just once due to the weather and put up a big total 450+ and try to bowl out WI.
