They come from a lineage of batters that were masters of using the feet (Aah how much I miss Saeed Anwar) however for some dumb reason they seem to stay stuck in their creases, this isnt a new problem been there since atleast a few yrs now.

We all watched Finn Allen and those Eng batters such as Salt and others all use their feet to get to the ball and then manoeuvre it at will, makes life as a batter so much easier if u can do it plus puts enormous pressure on the bowler.

Doesnt matter how much we r struggling on a given day we still dont seem to get out of our crease to make life easier for us. Batting 101 missing, very unfortunate to see them play like sitting ducks and many a times dumb shot selections too esp Iftikhar and Nawaz in this category imho.

Saeed Anwar was very wristy. I don't see wristy players in this line up. That typical subcontinent flair is missing. Actually Moeen Ali got that flair more than Pakistan players. Not hugely built. But he has this lovely old style swing through the air.

Once again Babar trying to slog stuck from his crease to Bracewell, no use of the feet whatsoever, too dumb and pedestrian cricket.
Where r the smarts gone?

The opening pair needs to go, playing conventional cricket won't make them score 10RPO. Baber should come one down or be dropped from the team. Even today Rizwan innings was meaningless, they need to improvise and maneuver the ball 360.

we have very few batters in the team who effectively use their feet.

I think Babar and Abdullah are two most technically correct batters we have remaining all get struck into their stance whie playing any shot.

I suspect tape ball cricket doesn't help. In tape ball you don't need any footwork you can just whack it and score big. That habit forms early and is tough to erase

At the moment we have Fakhar Zaman who often uses his feet by coming down and track against the spinners and hit the big sixes off their bowling. Malik also does it very well but he is not with the national team at the moment.
