We should implement a rule that
'The players who drop more than 1 catch depending on its simplicity shall be charged a percentage of their match fees..'
Maybe this way they will start fielding with more determination..
No one drops a catch deliberately, its a function of fitness and ability to handle pressure. Only solution is to practice and have the right fielders in the right positions.
No it wasn't. The ground fielding for the most part especially at the start was spot on. Anyone that watched the game at the ground would tell you that. They put on all of pressure early on with good fielding. The dropped catches weren't all that easy although there were couple of fours that could have been saved but this was when the match was all over for the South Africans. I was pretty impressed with most of the fielding yesterday, there was a massive improvement, there was plenty of energy in the field which has been lacking throughout the tournament. It's not just the catching, though. The ground fielding was shocking too.
Drop by Mohammad Hafeez - been below par all through World Cup
Also earlier, Haris Sohail dropped one in slips - regulation stuff
Add Babar to the list.
