"Pakistan has a young side, they'll have ups and downs but we need to support them" : Wasim Akram

"Hasan Ali shouldn't have been at midwicket, he's a specialist fielder who is more used to fielding at the boundary, but yes, it was a dropped catch. No one does it purposely but it was a crucial moment of a Test match"

"Lots of people have been criticising Sarfaraz for winning the toss and electing to bat, but I would have done the same thing. It was a sunny day, the wicket looked good and it was a positive decision"

"Whenever you win the toss and opt to bat, you try to get to 300-350 but on that day, the ball started swinging and seaming all day and they couldn't handle the pressure"

"I think it's too early to even rate them as a team, what I like about them is the team spirit and how they are supporting the captain. But the captain does need to perform with the bat, specially in five-day cricket. The fielding has improved as have the fitness levels"

"We just have to be patient with this team. As a Pakistani cricket supporter, I think all fans should realise it's a young side. They'll have ups and downs but we need to back them and support them. They are very talented and have a bright future ahead of them"

This. Change takes time. It's not some magic button coach and skipper ain't pressing...

Credit to Mickey and the fielding coaches for improving fitness and fielding. But no way we should have batted first with the team we have. England batting was struggling, our bowlers were in great form. Should have continued what worked last game. Instead we overcomplicate things and here we are.
