With the historic series win over South Africa today, Pakistan have now beaten every team they have played in a Test series since January 2011. They are only the fifth team to do so after Australia, South Africa, England and India.

So Congratulations to Pakistan on achieving this feat.

Pakistan achieved series victories against the teams they played in the last decade in the following years.

Against NZ (2011)
Against Eng (2012 and 2015)
Against Aus (2014 and 2018)
Against WI ( 2016 and 2017)
Against SL ( 2011,2015 and 2019)
Against BD ( 2011,2015 and 2020)
Against Ireland (2018)
Against SA (2021)

So on that basis we are the 5th best team in the world and are ahead of NZ. Dont think that is true though and NZ are actually a far better team than us.

It does not matter in a sport where there are only 8 teams and all play each other often this is bound to happen.

NZ haven't beaten Australia in a test series since 1990 and they are yet to win a test series against South Africa since they have been playing SA.

SRL didn't beat India and New Zealand in the last decade either, while NZ didn't beat Aus and SA.

What a pointless record.

It isn't pointless, lol. Aren't you the one bring up Pakistan's bilateral ODI series record against top teams every now and then? Fact is that Pakistan have beaten every top team in a test series in the last decade, which is much better than winning meaningless JAMODI series. And its not like everyone has managed it either. NZ, SRL , WI and BD haven't even come close to beating all the top test teams.

Pakistan will win more series now that they can play in their actual home Good record despite being managed by average coaches.

It goes against or lays to dust his proclamations that the pakistan team are minnows like Zimbabwe.

Because minnows don't win series against top teams.

Pakistan haven't beaten NZL since 2011, thats worrying, they have become our bogey side.

2011 Test series against New zealand was an Away series. So that is very impressive indeed.

Yes, Pak got a impressive record in the last decade in test cricket, despite being called minnows and whatnot by many on this forum.

Thanks for the jinx.

Well I am very hopeful that we will beat NZ in Pakistan. Pakistan is not UAE, where NZ had a great time. NZ will find it hard to compete in Pak. Last time they toured Pak in 2002, they were handed a record thrashing by an innings and 324 runs in Lahore:))

Out of all the established test playing nations West Indies really need to improve their Test record against top teams.

West Indies last test series win against SA came in 1992. Their last test series win against Australia too came in 1992/93.

In addition they haven't beaten Pakistan in a test series since 2000.

Haven't beaten India in a test series since 2002.

Also haven't beaten Sri Lanka in a test series since 2003.

Thats a truly atrocious record to have for a major test playing nation like the West Indies. Hope they improve it soon. Do you see them improving it ? Markhor

Zimbabwe too in 2011 - one-off Test

Zimbabwe too in 2011 - one-off Test

Yeah, forgot about that one. So Pakistan have beaten every test playing nation in a test series since 2011, barring India, whom they haven't played. Thats an impressive record, I must say.

Pakistan's Test series record in the last decade is at par with Australia and better than NZ,SRL,WI and BD. Only Eng, Ind and SA have better series records than Pakistan in the last decade.

So that is a pretty impressive record for Pakistan in a decade of exile.

Pakistan's series losses in the last decade.

Against NZ (2016,2018 and 2021)
Against Eng (2020)
Against Aus (2017 and 2019)
Against SA ( 2013 and 2019)
Against SL ( 2012, 2014 and 2017)

No series losses against WI, BD, Zim and Ireland.

So a total of 11 series losses for Pakistan in the last decade while their number of series wins is 16.
