Well at least we don't have to worry about qualifying for the WC anymore.
 
Where does Pak stand in ODI Ranking after winning CT?

Any Idea? From 8th to .... (it must be the biggest Jump in the Cricket history)
 
The two knockout performances by the team were unbelievable. No one would've beaten them on that form. Red hot :aag
 
does it matter. Currently, pakiustan is the best ODI team in the world. Even in football, do u think anyone cares who is ranked #1? People only care about who won the world cup, euro, etc
 
Change of captaincy and change of mindset. Well deserved. Inshallah we will make the top 4 eventually
 
There's a big gap between 5 & 6 now.. but I think this is going to be a different team going forward

NZ is a pretty crap team... I don't know how the hell theyre 4th place
 
Only a matter of time before Pakistan goes further. Our greatest travesty has been the fact that we don't play at home..
 
Well deserved, still feel we are two places below where we should be.
 
Finally back to where we have usually been in ODI's. (Pre 2015/14) Now time to get to the top 3.
 
Pakistan Move to No.6 in the ODI Ranking

To think that we almost didn't qualify for this competition

To think that we were the worst ranked team at the start of the competition.

To think that not so long ago we were scrapping and clawing in the hope of qualifying for the 2019 World Cup

Alhumdullilah a brilliant turn around by Sarfaraz & Co and we are on the right track now alhumdullilah!!

Alhumdullilah we beat the No.1 team in the world, we beat the No.2 ranked team in the world who are now 3rd because of that defeat, we beat them he No.4 team in the world on their home turf even though they were tournament favorites and we beat the No.6 team down to No.8 Alhamdhulillaah

Making the nation proud! Let's keep rising up In-Shaa-Allah!

I read here some Bangalis were making fun of Pak when they reached to 6th spot after winning few home games. I am sure they must have been completely devastated by this news. The margin is very small at the moment but since the attitude in Pak camp seems to have changed I see this increasing to a big number soon.
 
need more ODI series scheduled ASAP ..only 5 ODIs scheduled the rest of the year is unacceptable
 
Bangladeshies are very curious about rankings. They are not gonna like this.
 
That is very good news .i will be comfortable on the 5th or 6th but no below

hopefully we will maintain that and next target should be 5th
 
ODI ranking means nothing. We are number one in ODI's and we still don't have any silverware

PCB is the biggest enemy of pak cricket not any other

why don't we play them anywhere else outside of NZ? We would absolutely trash them in Dhaka, London, dehli, melbourne, Lahore, and the whole WI, forget Dubai....
 
Top 4 would be difficult because there are all superior teams, but NZ can be dislodged from #5. The series with them later this year is going to be crucial.
 
Once Pakistan is able to replace New Zealand at No.5, nothing will be able to stop us from breaking into the top 2.
