This has been a continous problem for us, when we finally get off too good starts, we mess it up in the end with economical returns. It is criminal to score only 20-30 runs in the final 5 overs when you have plenty of wickets in hand.
The rest of the world has developed heli copter shots, the art of converting a yorker to a full toss, heck i have seen Divilliers reverse sweep a yorker. Bumrah and Bhuveneshwar were not doing anything out of the ordinary, they were constantly bowling yorkers in the blockhole.
The likes of Hafeez and Imad should have done much better, i mean stand out of your crease to convert the yorker to a full toss. I wonder if these players even practice for this in the nets.
If you want to consistently beat the likes of Australia, England, NZ, India, South Africa when you are batting first, you have to learn to maximize the last 4-5 overs as these teams have the ability to score 50-60 runs atleast in the final 5 overs.
