The Pakistan ODI Tri-Series 2025 will be broadcasted live through Tower Sports, which has secured the streaming rights for all home international cricket in Pakistan for the year. The series runs from February 8 to 14, featuring matches at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The matches will also be showcased globally with enhanced broadcast facilities, including upgraded lighting and digital screens at the venues.

Does anyone know who will be screening Pakistan ODI Tri-Series, featuring New Zealand & South Africa starting on Sat 8th Feb 2025?
Earlier this month Test Series vs Windies TV deal was signed last minute, will the same happen or have Sky Sports or TNT Sports won the rights to secure this series?

Don't worry it will be telecasted worldwide, though commentary team will be cringeworthy.

I am worried as back in Aug 2 test series was never screened live by any UK tv channel neither Asian channels either screened it which was very disappointing!

Schedule of tri-series matches (day/night matches will start at 1400, day match will begin at 0930):

8 February – Pakistan v New Zealand (d/n)

10 February – New Zealand v South Africa (d)

12 February – Pakistan v South Africa (d/n)

14 February – Final (d/n)

The jets in PCB never fail to amaze you, 3 teams playing each other once and the 4th game is Final, Absurd

Short and simple - high impact. Think of these are warmups and perfect way to test the stadiums before CT starts.

So NRR will determine the final, and the last game team might play to lose by a certain margin to make the final , nuts from PCB

This is gonna be entertaining. Loved tri-series back in 2000s. It is short but a good initiative.
I still remember kid me watching viacom tri series involving India Pakistan and i think Australia? Good days man.

Indian channels don't show Pakistan's matches on TV anymore.

That stupid fancode broadcasts the matches. I have subscription of all the sports channels i don't want to watch on that fancode.

Hopefully some channel signs broadcast deal with PCB.

Tri Series around the corner basically 2 or 3 games for Pakistan, rumoured squad is

Fakhar
Babar
Saud
Rizwan
KG
Agha
Khusdil
SSA
Naseem
Rauf
Abrar
----------

So TT and Irfan dropped ??? or should the selectors experiment before CT

ICC appoints Boon, Gough and Illingworth for tri-series ODIs in Lahore and Karachi

• A highly-experienced playing control team has been announced for tri-series as International cricket returns to the newly upgraded grounds in Lahore and Karachi ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Lahore, 1 February 2025:

Australia’s David Boon, who is a member of ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will lead the playing control team for the tri-nation ODI series involving hosts Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa.

The single league tri-series is set to be played from 8-14 February in Lahore and Karachi as the newly upgraded Gaddafi Stadium and National Bank Stadium are set to welcome back international cricket.

As Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the much-anticipated opening match on Saturday, 8 February at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, England’s Michael Gough, member of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, and Pakistan’s Faisal Khan Aafreedi, an ICC International Panel Umpire, will be the on-field umpires.

ICC Elite Panel Umpire, Richard Illingworth will be the third umpire and Rashid Riaz, member of the ICC International Panel of Umpires, will be the fourth umpire.

Gaddafi Stadium will also play host to the New Zealand vs South Africa contest on 10 February, where Richard Illingworth and Rashid Riaz will serve as the on-field umpires, while Michael Gough will be the third umpire. ICC’s International Panel of Umpires’ member Asif Yaqoob will be the fourth umpire for the fixture which is set to be played as a day game.

The action will move to Karachi’s National Bank Stadium for the last league match and the final of the tri-series. Asif Yaqoob and Michael Gough will form the on-field umpires’ duo, while Richard Illingworth and Faisal Khan Aafreedi will be the third and fourth umpires, respectively for the Pakistan vs South Africa fixture in Karachi.

In the final on Friday, 14 February, ICC Elite Panel Umpire, Ahsan Raza will officiate as an on-field umpire along with Richard Illingworth, while Michael Gough will be third umpire. Asif Yaqoob will perform duties as the fourth umpire in the final.

It will probably be a Pakistan-New Zealand final. Pakistan will likely play NZ thrice in the space of 3 weeks. Personally, I wouldn't care if we lose the first two, as long as we win the one on Feb 19 :ashwin

SA20 is critically important to South African cricket’s financial stability and long-term growth. Skipping a couple of ODIs in the lead-up to the Champions Trophy won’t have a major impact. They sent their Z team for a test series in New Zealand because SA20 was going on at the time, so what's an ODI series compared to that?
I would argue that an ICC Trophy would do a world of good to South African Cricket's long term prospect. This Tri Series was an opportunity for them to comprehensively prepare for CT25.

Any news update on which channel in UK will screen the Tri Series live?
Is it sky sports, TNT sports or one of the Asian channels on standard definition, I rather a channel showing live coverage rather than no channel, please advise, share any official link, thanks

still no news on broadcasting typical PCB for you

Most likely ARY digital or GEO News in the UK will broadcast this as always PCB are last minute with the broadcastings rights!!

Ok good to know it will be either on ARY Digital, GEO or even Hum - as long as its on a UK channel that is good enough for me, please do share any official link confirmation once confirmed as surely an official announcement should have been made which international broadcasters are covering this short tri nation series

Good to know, is there an official announcement, source to confirm ARY Digital will screen the tri-nation series?

Fair point - ARY wake up! Confirm by showing an advert if screening on your channel so sky can update the EPG tv listings so people can record if not free to watch all day!!

South Africa has already won CT. This tournament is not treated on par with world cup. From their perspective they won't mind skipping even CT if there is a clash.

Black Caps tri-series in Pakistan: Sky TV won’t broadcast ODIs in Champions Trophy leadup

Cricket fans in New Zealand will likely need to search YouTube to watch the Black Caps in Pakistan in the next week, after Sky TV confirmed it had not secured the rights to broadcast the tri-series.

New Zealand’s one-day internationals against Pakistan (10pm Saturday NZT) and South Africa (5.30pm Monday) in Lahore - which feature the return of Kane Williamson for his first ODI since the 2023 Cricket World Cup - as well as the tri-series final next Friday night in Karachi, will not be screened on Sky.

The broadcaster said costs were a factor, and it’s likely the unfriendly time zone for Kiwi viewers played its part too (even if the South Africa match is played in prime time in New Zealand).

Sky holds the rights to the Champions Trophy later this month as part of its multi-year deal to screen all International Cricket Council events.

Still, the tri-series remains almost certain to be streamed live in New Zealand, even with the likelihood no other platform will bid for the rights which are owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

A free YouTube stream, either via the ICC, PCB or even New Zealand Cricket, remains a likely option for fans.

An NZC spokesman said it was keeping a watching brief on the situation. More clarity on how to access coverage would be provided by NZC closer to the opening match, assuming no other platform stepped in at the last minute to secure the rights.

The situation is more and more common around the cricketing world, with Sky becoming more selective as to what it bids for, and competition increasing from the likes of TVNZ in the saturated sports rights market.

As recently as last year a second-string Black Caps squad toured Pakistan for a white ball series with the matches streamed on the Sports Central YouTube channel. A low key series in the dead of night in New Zealand proved an unappealing prospect for potential rightsholders.

Sky has deals with Cricket Australia and India’s BCCI to show their international matches, and is currently screening England’s white ball tour of India. All the Champions Trophy matches are also at the unfriendly start time of 10pm (NZT).

A Sky TV spokesman said in a statement: “We recognise that we play an important role in the sports landscape in New Zealand and all our rights decisions are made with careful consideration. In an environment where many businesses are looking to manage their costs, we have to make choices about what we are able to share with our customers.

“We know that Sky customers value watching cricket, and we aim to make a variety of cricket content available to our customers, such as the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, featuring the Black Caps, which will be available live on Sky Sport from Wednesday, 19 February. We also have England’s tour of India (which has two ODIs remaining).”

Safely through the tri-series, captain Mitchell Santner’s Black Caps have a solitary 50-over ICC warmup match against Afghanistan on February 16 before the tournament opener against Pakistan on February 19. They also face Bangladesh (February 24) and India (March 2), and need to win two of those group A matches to make the semifinals.
