Pakistan PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi put through security check in US

Even if a sadak chap gunda was Pakistan's Pm, nobody should still touch a PM like this.

Pakistanis in this thread are failing to understand that this is an insult to Pakistan not to Abbasi

And I condemn this treatment from America and this is not even a question but what will my condemnation do ? What was the reaction of Khaqan Abbasi when this happened ? Has our government responded in any way to this incident ?

This is an insult to Pakistan and that is why we should ask Abbasi that why he has not responded to it but guess what, we already know the reason.

Yeah he's a ch@mch@, feel sorry for the fellow, being passed around like some spare part by the govt and US authorities. He's just trying to please everyone. Here he is welcoming Malala back to Pakistan, poor guy is trying to present a respectable figure.

And what was he doing at the residence of VP Pence during his so called private visit? (If there was some secret meeting and Pence was aware of his visit than why this kind of treatment at airport for a country's PM?). What he actually discussed with Pence in that meeting there is no info available except typical regional relations and us-pak relations talk. Lot of unanswered questions and my bet is that they didn't condemn it yet because it will create further mess when people will ask what he was doing there and what about the meeting and all the hidden details (after all it was a private visit).

I doubt people are aware of this incident. If it happened to Nawaz Sharif or Zardari, then there would be reaction. But Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is new guy and not very popular among Pakistanis never mind the world. Lack of reaction shows people from Pakistan including overseas don't care but it is different that its neighbor is very concerned though.

USA wasted its time for no reason if its solely intended was to insult the sovereignty of Pakistan. All the talks about sanction, demilitarization and other forms of pressurization have been useless just as Indian justice system in regards to Genocidal Modi.

Pakistan is moving on to the better girlfriend while USA is behaving like ex-gf who has been tried and used which the result is out there [side effects] while USA next bf is trying to reconcile with the ex-gf of Pakistan. :jf

After the disqualification of Nawaz by SC and after becoming PM this tool himself said Nawaz is still my PM and this verdict of SC will endup in history's dustbin.

Abbasi is meeting everyone he can to save his master. Heck he even had to meet chief justice few days back.

Ok fair enough. I had no idea who he was to be honest, now I see he is a PML-N politician his toadying behaviour makes more sense. I've nothing against the PML-N party as such, but their politicians have long shown a complete lack of self respect and integrity so the treatment meted out to him was probably in order.

US Explains Why Pakistan PM Was Frisked At New York Airport

NEW DELHI: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was frisked at an airport in the US as he was on a private visit to that country, a US official said on Thursday.

"My understanding is that if the head of state chooses to travel privately without diplomatic passport, then they are travelling as a private citizen, then he would have to go through the same security screening that you and I will have to go," Alexander McLaren, deputy spokesperson of the US Embassy in New Delhi, said during a media interaction.

"Obviously, an official visit is a different story," he said.

1. Devyani Khobragade lives in India.Waljed out from US and the US courts could do nothing despite indicting him. US diplomats lost their VIP credentials in India though.

2. US issued a regret for the case.Even though it was a pat down and not strip search. Then again you lie as usual.

3.Former Presidents dont have any diplomatic status.Still India raised the issue and both the Homeland security guys got fired.US apologised. Again he was frisked not strip searched. Have some shame and dont lie.

4. Apology issued by Richard Armitage the US deputy secretary of state. Remind me what did he said to the Pakistani General?

Ok, my bad. she gt the pat down. while having a diplomatic passport.

Yup, they fired the two guys, and they apologised, but in the end, they gt what they want. strip-searched twice.
so how many times they will apologise for doing same thing over and over again ?
next time, they will strip-search and get away with apologizing and fired some low level officers.
India will protest and all ****.

btw you just missed the post #90.
he didnt have any diplomatic passport. he choosed to do a private visit. got checked. someone made a video and leaked it.
but its better thn some Indian lady, a Deputy Consul General in New York, gt strip-searched and people making her video.

1.No such video exists. The so called video was declared fake by aurlthorities.

2. The US apologised for violating the diplomatic protocol.

3. Abdul Kalam was not strip searched. You lied again. The US fired the offending officers gave a written Apology to APJ Kalam.

Have they apologised to Pakistan and its PM and fired the people involved? If yes tyen good on Pakistan for making the US realise its mistake.

" Diplomats and other foreign government officials traveling to the United States to engage solely in official duties or activities on behalf of their national government must obtain A-1 or A-2 visas prior to entering the United States. They cannot travel using visitor visas or under the Visa Waiver Program. With the exception of a Head of State or Government -- who qualifies for an A visa regardless of the purpose of travel "

The "private visit" excuse doesnot wash. A head of state gets a A visa regardless.

So the PM was travelling without any entourage or security? He stayed in US without a security detail? The US authorities didnot know that the PM of Pakistan was travelling?

Rather than trying to troll me Pakistanis should make sure their govt retaliates and make US apologise.

Apparently the video is old and prior to his time as PM?

And then others are saying that this was a private visit so protocols given to PMs don't apply in that case

God knows....

Head of state get A1 visa. Always. Check the us govt websitem

Is this being reported outside of Indian media? Haven't seen this on Pakistani media and neither western.

I agree with Captain here, this seems like a message to Pak about getting too cozy with China possibly... Funny thing is so many Pakistanis here were saying Modi would not be allowed into the US, not only was he allowed into the US but he was also a rockstar but a Pakistani PM in US, hmmm gets totally mistreated having even the Indians feeling bad

3rd world countries don't have much to brag about, but one thing we will never let go of is our ghairat. The way Pakistani PM has been treated in the US airport is an embarrassment to each and every single South Asian.

About time Pakistan starts acting like a nuclear armed nation. Let's teach them Americans a lesson they won't forget. :chacha
