Two-time reigning champion West Indies and 2009 ICC World Twenty20 champion Pakistan have swapped places in the MRF Tyres ICC T20I Team Rankings following the conclusion of the four-match series in Port of Spain. Pakistan won the series by 3-1.

The West Indies had started the series in fourth position on 116 points, while Pakistan had begun in sixth position on 113 points.

However, following the fourth match in Port of Spain, Pakistan has jumped to fourth place on 116 points while the West Indies has slipped to sixth position on 112 points.

The table is headed by New Zealand (127), which leads 2007 winner India by three points. South Africa is third on 117 points. 2010 champion England is between Pakistan and the West Indies in fifth position.

but 7 wins out of 8 should be??is not it???

That is good says about consistency, problem with this format is tournaments are remembered, nothing against any team here ,even India is #1 right now but windies hold the title and probably Saffer will gain the title soon.

Personally, I don't think Pakistan is a good T20 team at all . . I think our bowling attack is solid . . but I don't think this team is capable of scoring 180/200 runs on a consistent basis . .

So on pitches where the par score is 140 150 . . we will be competitive . . on good batting surfaces, we don't have the batting to win against the top teams . .

T20 rankings are meaningless in the context of the individual matches but do help to show the relative strengths of the sides and give a summary how a side has been doing during the ranking period. Those disregarding the rankings are pessimistic folks who would have been crying and wailing had Pakistan fallen to number 8 in the rankings.

The only format of the game where rankings have no reflection on what a team will in a World Cup. Should be celebrated, I suppose, in absence of anything else

Our t20 team is developing nicely. Those idiots have halted us slightly though.

Sharjeel
Latif
Babar
Shahzaib

Would have been a powerful t20 line up. With Shadab, Hasan, and Ruman we have a good bowling line up.

With success of PSL I can easily see Pakistan in top 3 all the time. You have a very good team.

Really happy to see us go up in the T20 rankings but the absence of Sharjeel is gonna hurt us
