ISLAMABAD: Islamabad has finally decided to sign a deal with Moscow to settle a 39-year old exporters’ claims case pending since the disintegration of the Soviet Union, paving the way for Russia to invest over $8 billion in Pakistan.

Russia looks to invest in Pakistan in a big way, Confirm Investment in PSM, PIA & Gas Pipeline: RT

Moscow and Islamabad have inked their largest-ever cooperation deal, worth billions of dollars, to expand trade and business, Pakistani officials have announced. It includes huge investments in energy, rail and steel industries.
The deal comes as a 64-member delegation, led by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, is in Pakistan on an official four-day visit.

As part of the agreement, Russia will provide financial assistance worth $1 billion for the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) project.

The two sides also discussed investments in the much-delayed North-South gas pipeline. Russian companies are expected to build a gas pipeline from Karachi in the south to Lahore in the north-east to transport imported natural gas to meet the region’s energy demands.

Earlier this year, Russia promised a $14 billion investment in Pakistan’s energy sector, including $2.5 billion for the North-South pipeline project.

Most, if not all SOE's are blight on the taxpayer. They are used by politicians to steal money and appoint supporters. They should be sold as a matter of urgency

IK appointed PIA chairman is slowly but surely improving PIA. Revenue is through the roof and losses are rapidly reducing, only a matter of time before it turns a profit. I've heard from some travelers that there is a marked improvement in travelling experience off late. All it took was one clean man appointed on merit. It's a long journey but atleast things are improving from the previously hopeless situation left by Noon league and PPP

The insecurity in that video was nauseating. And the constant use of the "terrror pakistan" mantra is just old. "crack down on terror" and when you ask them for evidence they clam up. Then when you say "so how many Indians have died due to Pakistani terror in the last ten years you get pin drop silence." lol.

I am simply enjoying the post feb 27th environment in which india seems ever insecure and whiney like a child..
