So proud of you Sarfraz Ahmed - Kevin Pieterson

This guy commands respect from all who he has worked with.

Thank you Sarfaraz and apologize for all the bashing you received for losing against india during group stages.

Thanks Surfraz. Amir was more active in field placement with Srafraz during his spell. They are thinking...

He is our second coming of Imran Khan. Too bad we lost 2 years of his captaincy.

It's unbelievable that Azhar was preferred over Sarfraz, with all his captaincy credentials.. incompetence of the PCB

We could been a top 4 ranked team by now

I'm pretty sure Sarfraz was being groomed whilst Azhar was captaining the team.. kind of how kohli had been groomed before Dhoni gave captaincy...... remember Sarfraz made a fresh return to the team after years away... Same with Azhar, but he had a lot of experience... Anyways those 2 years of Azhar captaincy was much much better than the Misbah years... Azhar gave chances and debuts to match winning youngsters like Babar Azam, Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali.. and also the return of Aamer and Junaid..... it was very unlucky for Azhar that these players weren't settled in yet... the team was very newb and we lost a lot of games therefore... The team you see today owes a lot to the massive revamp we had during Azhar years... I think Azhar would make a great Test captain, given old players are gone and our youngsters are settled in...

Well done!

But Sarfraz captaincy needs to improve. He needs to be pro active and not reactive. Pakistan gave runs away against both South Africa and India when the teams were 6/7 down. Needs to attack and grab the bull by its horns.

Special indeed. We're so lucky to finally have an energetic and inspiring captain!

Not preferred. Forcibly selected and backed by Misbah and Waqar because of jealousy and ego. Their fans must be burning now seeing Sarfraz with the ICC trophy. :))

Sarfraz did really well by giving the other players confidence that they can win too. We had almost 8,9 players in previous odi's but result is different.

These are top teams. Can't get them out for 50 runs. If you attack hard, you are bound to give away some runs.

There are limited number of fielders...

Think Pakistan got a bit lazy in both games, we need to be clinical if we are to be a top 3 ODI team!

Crediting Azhar for the team's success under Sarfraz is a bit like that old idea about how wickets taken by Sohail and Yasir in Tests were due to Wahab.

if viv 'the masterblaster' richards call you an aggressive captain, chances are you are as about as aggressive as can be.

people don't consider that giving the ball to the spinners when india were 6/7 could in fact be considered an aggressive move. he saw the indian batsmen taking chances against a big turning leggie like shadab, who had two wickets already in the game, and we had a cushion of 15 million runs. so he put his confidence in his young star. players will walk through fire for a leader like this.

perhaps because everything is now suffused in the rosy afterglow of victory, i am inclined to be more defensive also of safraz's captaincy early on, when people were annoyed at his shouting on the pitch. i quite often see teachers being very hard on students in the first week, to get them on their toes, then ease up, even become affectionate, as a class progresses, and this bonds the class quite well...

I'm not sure what the hell your trying to say

We are thankful to him Viv chacha! What else do you want us to do?

Lol I told everyone that Sarfraz would make a fantastic captain base on the fact that he won an u19 WC. People roasted me for saying that Azhar should be removed as ODI captain and that Asad Shafiq is not an ODI batsman because he's terrible :)))

Seriously... only Misbah would think Asad Shafiq is a good ODI batsman..

Azhar was a liability not an asset as a captain and he gets no credit as a captain for what the team has done after he was finally stripped of the captaincy. He had a good CT with the bat and played his part in the victory. It would not be so bad if he retired from ODIs now.
