Who selected his team for him in the 2nd Test v NZ?
Who stuffed in the vc Shan Masood?
Fair enough, so things are going to get worse now.

T20 is a Mickey mouse format. Even Shaheen can pretend to be a batter and score a 50 at number 6.
T20s are totally irrelevant this year because of the all important ODI WC in India.
All I would say to the selectors is that pick those players in T20 who would be in your ODI squad.
Mickey loves Babar. He'll still have a good say in selection if Mickey signs for the job and Mickey likes to get his way. One good thing (of only a few if he does sign) will be there'll be less interference from the outsiders in selection matters. The forced interference in tests was mostly due to both Babar and Saqlain being not tough. Mickey didn't let that happen during his past stint for better or for worse.
On topic, I think Saim Ayub, Imad, Ihsanullah, Tayyab Tahir, Usama Mir and Azam(probably) have merited callups now.
Haider, Iftikhar, Dhani, Qadir should get the boot now. Nawaz needs to be rested for his own betterment. I wouldn't pick Shan even though he did fairly well in the wt20 as far as his ability is concerned.
Before Mickey signs, Shadab or Shaheen will be appointed the captain
Mickey wanted Shadab to eventually become the captain of Pakistan
Shadab doesn't even play tests.
Shaheen's recent injury should rule him out from permanent captain post. He needs careful workload management.

Surely tayyib tahir has not done enough to get a call up. He has had the same level of performance as Haider Ali so far.
I hope someone comes and takes hard calls. Dropping Shan and breaking the Babar Rizwan pair
Fakhar Zaman
Saim Ayub
Babar Azam (c)
Muhammad Haris
Azam Khan (wk)
Shadab Khan
Imad Wasim
Usama Mir/ Nawaz
Shaheen
Naseem
Ihsanullah
Reserves:
Ifthikar
Abdullah Shafiq
Rizwan
Abrar Mistri
Usama Mir
Rauf
I am not too sure about Tayyab. Seems weak mentally. In odis tahir should be in the xi
Tayyab Tahir is there to tackle spin
Let’s see how he does
Coming back to this, Pakistan is a very interesting T20 team because of the combinations possible.
Let's consider the Cricinfo Batting and Bowling Impact ratings while selecting the playing XI from PSL 8. A minimum filter of 7 matches this season should be considered otherwise you will have high impact players over only 2 or 3 matches in the XI. Also, the World T20 has a around 7 matches so it seems like a good filter to have.
This will remove Hasnain (6 matches) and though both Aamir and Anwar Ali were better than Naseem, they are much older in reality and both have just played 7 matches , the bare minimum , so I'll go ahead with Naseem instead .
My XI would look like
Mohammad Haris
Mohammad Rizwan
Saim Ayub
Fakhar Zaman
Azam Khan
Imad Wasim
SSA
Naseem Shah
Abbas Afridi
Ihsanullah
Usama Mir
There are about 5 high impact top order batsmen in PSL - Haris, Rizwan, Bobby, Saim, Fakhar. But all bat in the top 3 and there's no real #4 . Rizwan and Haris are the most impactful batters, so they open. Saim is the only one who bats at 3 and is an LHB so he is preferred over Bobby.
Fakhar gets #4 because he can hit through the middle overs better than Bobby and so Bobby can't make the XI at all. Azam at #5 is a foregone conclusion. No other competitor.
Imad is the most impactful lower order batter and is also the 6th bowling option in a lineup with no part timers. SSA bowling has declined but he is a much better bowler than Faheem and better at everything than Shadab so he gets #7.
Considering Pakistani pitches and the recent PSL, this looks a good XI. Might still flop on high bounce pitches like Australia though.
Haris can clear any ground so I would bat Haris at 3 and play Saim in the opening slot as we seen in the psl when he opened he was very good but when batting in a different position he wasn't as good.
Haris I think will be better in Australia/SENA than in asain conditions.
