Pakistan team combination in ODIs and T20Is under Sarfaraz Ahmed

Pakistan team combination is shocking in ODIs and T20, however no one is pointing this out at all so I decided to open this thread to highlight the mistakes we are making.

In any team you need to have bowlers and batsman, however we fill up our team with bowlers and forget to include batsmen. I have seen matches where Sarfraz has played matches with only three specialist batsmen.

You will remember that in some matches Imad Wasim did not even get a chance to bowl as the team was playing eight bowlers.

We all know our batting line is weak and bowling is strong then why on earth we strengthen our bowling even further instead of batting. We need an extra batsman rather than an extra bowler.

In the last game against Afghanistan was a very good team combination to my surprise as we played Haris Sohail to strengthen our batting and we needed an extra batsman in the situation to win the match.

I am a strong believer that it is better to play an extra batsman rather than a bowler as it allows you to take more risks by going for big hits, however there is no point playing an extra bowler if he is not going to be utilised.

Our team should be made up of 6 specialist batsman, a keeper and 4 bowlers. The ten overs should be bowled by specialist batsman i.e Fakhar Zaman, Shoaib Malik, Haris Sohail etc.

It is also disappointing that our fast bowlers are complete tail enders which also increases our tail. Another reason why we need a batsman.

Our team for second match against India in Asia Cup is likely to be below as per Media.

Fakhar Zaman - Batsman - Can bowl
Imam-ul-Haq - Batsman
Babar Azam - Batsman
Shoaib Malik - Batting all rounder
Sarfraz Nawaz - Batsman
Asif Ali - Batsman
Shadab Khan - Bowling all rounder
M Nawaz - Bowler
Hassan Ali - Bowler
M Amir - Bowler
Shaheed Afridi - Bowler

As you can see we only have four batsman who can play, which is our top four. Sarfraz and Asif are useless, then Shadab and then our tail starts.

Haris Sohail or some other specialist batsman should replace Nawaz as then we will have four bowlers and then remaining ten should be bowled by part timers.

Nawaz played well but having five specialist bowlers is a luxury we can not afford to have when the team is full of mediocre batsman.

We will win a lot more matches with having an extra batsman in there.

What is the whole point of packing your team with bowlers when yous batsman can not even score 250 runs

I'd rather we do this in Test cricket than LOI cricket.

We tried this in the 2014/15 season after Mohammad Hafeez's bowling ban and it didn't work as the team became too imbalanced. Shoaib Malik's bowling hasn't been a threat since 2006, whilst Fakhar and Haris aren't wicket-taking options either.

We just need to pick better batsmen - Imam has done nothing against non-minnows, Sarfraz has been a liability with the bat since the CT and Asif Ali is still unproven at international level.

Thats the whole pointing of selecting another batsman until we have six decent batsman. Currently we have Sarafraz and Asif in the team and as long as we have them in the team then we need extra batsman than bowler

There you go . It starts again. We are 3 down and we will be all out before 200. You can have Wasim Akram and Shane Warne in the team and still you will struggle to defend that.

Sarfraz should be sacked as Captain immediately.
