"Pakistan team is on a winning streak and players will go to NZ with high morale" : Mohammad Hafeez

KARACHI: Senior player of Pakistan Cricket Team, Muhammad Hafeez has said that after winning Champion Trophy this year, green team are in very good and positive frame of time and it will really help us in defeating the New Zealand team in the five match ODI series.

The five match ODI series will be starting from January 6 between Pakistan and New Zealand.

While talking to media persons, Hafeez added that Pakistan team is on a winning streak and players will go to New Zealand with high morale.

We are confident and every member of the team knows their roles but he admitted that New Zealand is not easy team to defeat them at home ground and we will need to exercise our entire plan, he added.

The former captain said that it is sad to lose Imad Wasim and Junaid Khan due to injuries but hoped that replacement players would fill the gap professionally.

250s aren't safe scores in NZ, we need to be aiming for 300 plus. And for that, Fakhar, Babar, Hafeez and Malik need to score quick and score big consistently.

Well if he performs against NZ the way he performed in the final then we can get 300+ also doesn't he have a good record in NZ so that's a bit of bonus but knowing how he plays then its gonna be an interesting series

Pakistan indeed have the upper hand and will start as the favorites against New Zealand. This will be a close series though.

Hopefully it will be a competitive series, rather than some of the borefests going on.

Need Fakhar back in form, it's hard to see how we can accumulate the runs elsewhere fast enough for big 300 totals without a good knock by Fakhar

Depends on the wickets, green wickets and we are in real trouble against Boult and co.

This has the potential to be an absolute cracker of a series. Both sides have class bowling attacks and play a limited amount of international cricket annually are therefore raring to go.

Morale is the highest it's been for Pakistan fans in ODI cricket in a long time with a young, resurgent side whilst NZL has been playing quality limited overs cricket for 3-4 years now and are at home.

A series win here could really be a statement from Pakistan before the 2019 WC that they are a serious side.
