Until and unless PAK team does not induct 40+ Averaging and good strike rate Batsmen in the middle order we are going nowhere to be honest. The middle order is looking so weak IMO , we should keep our expectations low for the WC. Hopefully Hafeez, Malik and Sarfrazs retirement will bring fresh changes in the form of Saud, Saad, Shan Masood that can consistently help the team to attain 300+ scores like the Big Teams.

Yes I have seen this happening continuously over the years which is why we have never been able to progress. See how INDIA and ENG have set benchmarks by dropping the so called Seniors and getting aggressive performers. Sometimes I feel that "people" at PCB know what needs to be done like all of us here but due to connections and politics are afraid to do so

They can improve but it will be too late. I don't see anyone stopping India from winning the WC in home soil come 2023.

After this year WC the only players who should be selected are the ones who realistically can play at the next WC. So for instance if Hafeez doesn't retire , he shouldn't be selected because he won't be good enough in 2023.
