Pakistan need to play one of amir yamin or fahim ashraf after misbah/younis retire. In spin conditions we might play mohammad nawaz but i am more inclined towards the fast bowling all rounders at the moment.

He is a batsman who has played 90+ 1st class matches with an average of 47. Also has been selected for the Test squad in WI.

He is part of the test squad in WI and has been richly deserved. I think in the last domestic season he had one of the best averages of all batsmen and has been raking up the runs for a couple of seasons.

Classy batsman, but it remains to be seen whether he can make the jump to test cricket.

Shafiq has to move to #4 or #5. Can't continue to have a senior so low. That batting order you have is very inexperienced.

We need some agressive player who can score runs with 60+ SR, have solid technique against both spin and fast and have all range of shots. Never seen Usman Salahuddin but Fawad Alam sure don't fulfill the criteria.

Honestly I don't see many good batsmen in our domestic cricket or may be I am not a good judge of batsmen. I don't believe that Usman Salahuddin is a fluent batsman and has weaknesses in his defence as well but like Azhar he gives his wicket a lot of value. The other options are Haris Sohail and fawad alam who are far away from the selection radar , haris will take one more year to find some kind of form and fawad well... I want an all rounder in the test team instead of the sixth batsman , I don't know how it is going to turn out for pakistan but if it works it can do wonders for our test team.

We need more consistent bats like Azhar Ali.

Asad Shafiq, for all his technique and style, is highly inconsistent and averages in the low 40s. I don't think he's yet hit a ton in a winning cause (except against bangladesh).
