2 series against NZ and one against Zimbabwe in June, while other teams playing series left, right.

No.

We play Ireland for a Test, England for 2 Tests, a South Africa tour, an Australia series as well.

Less is more. Too much cricket leads to saturation and you won't enjoy it.

Not always. Can't improve as a team if you only play two test series every year. Our poor performance in NZ is partly due to having not played international Cricket in six months or something.

When are we playing South Africa and Australia this year?

I am talking about ODis not tests, we are aussies for tests in OCT and RSA in DEC, while Aus series Lois part before WC

Do we really need a South Africa tour this year? :yk

This is pathetic even in the 90s we played close to 40 odis.
The A tours have become literally non-existent, which were alaunchpad for many domestic players to show their worth.
Najam Sethi and PCB has really brought the odi game down just to protect their people in the board and the team. Board is being criminally negligent.

This is a good strategy. This ensures that Cometh the World cup the opooisition analysts will not have enough videos to analyse players... and it will spell their doom whahahahahahahah!

:tahir2

More time to bask in the Champions Trophy glory. :batman:

Just kidding.

I am talking off both one days and tests. We are not that great at either to be honest with you.

Here is the Tour of Zimbabwe, so after it the lovers of Akmal brothers, Hafeez, Malik, Ahmed Shahzad & Wahab Riaz will start advocating them that they have played well against Zimbabwe. Thats what our judging standard is.

Very poor planning. The World Cup is next year and we are playing so few ODI's. We need to find our best 11

No such thing as too much cricket any more. If the players aren't playing for Pakistan, they are just playing in some league. Just look at what happened in the 2 months "off" leading up to the NZ tour

The best X1 is already there in Inzi/coach and seletors heads and its a team full of TTFs, dont expect any changes to the side.

With the current players we have it makes sense we playing less, it will give Malik, Hafeez and Azhar less opportunities to perform badly. I think once these guys retire from ODI hopefully after the World Cup then I think we should schedule more matches.

NZ's tour of UAE was supposed to have five ODIs but it seems that has been reduced to three. Series was originally supposed to have 3 Tests/5 ODIs/1 T20I.

This increases the likelihood of a “fluke” series victory :sarf2

A solitary T20 would have done...

Why the need for 3 T20s? 1 T20 would have been enough. PCB love T20 internationals too much. We won't even experiment with loads of new players so I don't see the benefit of 3 T20 matches.

Reducing ODI's to play T20's with the WC around the corner? That doesn't make any sense. I guess they want to secure the t20 series as we are number 1, but it's at the cost of WC preparation.

Pcb are dumb as hell man I swear. 5 ODIs shouldve been the minimum, they could've had 5 ODIs and 2 T20s instead as its only 1 more game.

Planning for the World Cup should come over money. T20s may make more revenue but playing more ODI's would be more beneficial in the long term. Bad move by PCB, should play less T20Is and more ODI's.

This is demand of broadcaster not pcb decission, because braodcaster earns more revenue through T20s and Pakistan continous to give up 1 test every season due to that to accomodate more T20 matches similar to Australia one test cut off and we are playing 3 T20s because 1 T20 was already part of our iternory but if you look sri lanka they cut off one test and playing 5 ODIs and 1 T20 thats how it shows the power.

It all depends on team settlement, if Pakistan had a settled team in WC then no worries of less playing otherwise curtains.
