I hope two big losses don't demoralise the Pakistanis too much ahead of the actual tournament.

True. I personally believe the Bengalis are favourites here to win. Where would you rank them?
 
Result doesn't matter as long as we play right combo, and right intent.

It is all about 4th June!

I think we won both our games in 2013, one of them against South Africa.

But we all know what happened in the actual tournament.

No.1 team in the world :yk3 and I hope they are not making their own way to Edgbaston etc They'd never get to the ground. When driving you need to be able to see everything out your windscreen :yk just a heads up ;)

Not sure about Pakistan vs Australia.

Will Sharjeel play?
 
Will be a miracle if pakistan win a warm up game or a major game during tourney either.

And in T20 WORLD CUP 2009.. We lost all warmup matches and then won the cup lol
 
Man I was only afraid of Sharjeel but even he turned out to be corrupt lol, Pakistan will be a walk in the park. Good practice for brother Soumya, hope he doesn't score a 200, he can demoralise Wahab and friends
 
How do I break it down to some folks here that our players are aleady defeated before they step in to the ground. For our players it's the highlight of their career to play against India so they work themselves in to nervous wrecks hyping the occasion unnecessarily. India too carries the weight of expectation but (a) they cope with it better (b) some of their players are younger and have never really had to deal with pakistan - India match tension.

But never fear, our battled hardened trio of Malik Hafeez and kamran Akmal will put these guys in their place. I mean for 15 years they've helped win every trophy out there.
 
Why bother!!!! With adding couple of more TTFs we will loose all matches. Instead use these matches as farewell for our current useless players

Pakistan are still playing 1990 type ODI cricket with players who have been failures for 5-10 years... its a recipe for disaster! Pakistan beat top ODI sides now once in a blue moon.. we are a minnow ODI nation currently.

Bangladesh were just recently on the verge of losing the ODI series to a low quality team like Sri Lanka had rain not interrupted, I don't expect them to win any game in CT where their bowlers will be very poor.

There are teams poorer than us, also our bowling is still pretty good.

Need some tougher competition. Should've been England and New Zealand.
 
Do India get a practice match too? If not, we should treat Inda Vs Pak as one. Would be nice to test our bench strength there.

Please man Your bowling is the most overrated out of all countries, I fear Afghanistan attack more than Pakistan attack. Nabi and Rashid are more of a threat than Amir and other bowlers

Speaking about corruption, how's Ashraful's return going? Heard his ban was reduced, and he is back to playing domestics, or?

No, I think India should reverse their playing orders. Batmen will bowl and bat in opposite style with close eyes (Right handed batsmen bat in left hands and Left handed in right). Bowlers will open the batting.
Should be competitive!!!!
 
Yeh , I think India would definitely need some practice matches as well. Need to get out of the T20 groove

Bangladesh one is even more over rated, we fear Afghanistan A team's bowling more than BD's.

Sharjeel Khan won't be featuring so I doubt Pakistan will score more than 230 against Mustafiz Johnson, Fizz will cut through the Pakistan batting guns

Ashraful won't be returning to International cricket, BCB is dumb but not as dumb as PCB who gives second chances to corrupt individuals. PCB was lenient to Amir so Sharjeel did the same thing, because he knows at the end of his ban he can play and people will cry for his return

I am all for a competitive match, but practice is meant to serve some purpose. What is the point of reversing the roles when India won't be carrying on with it in matches that count?

I am just joking!!!! The problem is there is not even an honest person in PCB. I had high hope for Inzi but looks like he is one worse among the current one. Why make false promise if you can't deliver.
 
People are underrating Pakistan. Yes we are nowhere near the Top 5 ODI teams but we have enough talent to outshine any team on our day. Also, Bangladesh are an overrated side who nowhere near as good as people are currently rating them. They are also lousy outside their home conditions.

Practice match of course, even though Pakistan has a chance to qualify for Semi Finals, BD has zero chance to win against any of NZ, Aus and Eng so how will they reach semis.

It was also telecasted by star who got the rights to telecast the whole tournament. In that case for ptv sports,
Well if someone else is telecasting Ptv will ask for it to telecast in pak. If no body is doing I don't think ptv will do it. Can someone here confirm wat matches will be live on TV.

Only the two warm-ups involving India will be telecast.

thanks for confirming though...Was it ICC champions trphy or BCCI/INDIAN CHAMPIONS TROPHY..:facepalm:..Aus two warm up games are against Pak and SRL while India's one of the warm up is against bangladesh
 
To all the pessimists in the above thread, whatever happened to having faith and knowing one thing we allways have in our favor is being unpredictable which goes a long way. If anything i thing our team is gelling at the right time. I see Pakistan not only beating India in this mathc but also going all the way. If we did it in 2009 we can do it here too. Just need to have faith in the team. If you saw the last odi with Wi, everyone was clicking.
 
Absolutely shameful that no Pak games will be telecast.
 
History says, Bangladesh is the worst country in practice games. They have habit to brutally lose to mahalla or gully team in practice games. �� They will sure lose to both their practice games.

If I'm not mistaken, these two warm-up matches will be held at Edgbaston, where we'll take on India in our first fixture as well. Should be good practice to acclimatize to the pitch conditions and ground dimensions.

Yes that is correct, if nothing else, Pak players will get used to the noise.
