so our batters are struggling against Japan. LOL

Saad Baig gone.

Saad Baig gone.

Plenty of swing early on from their bowlers.

Good to see them giving their middle order batsmen a chance to bat higher in the order to get more reps as they haven't had a chance to bat much with top order batting so well. Sucks Saad couldn't make much use of it though.

Our middle really sucks , none of the batters deserves to play even grade II cricket let alone FC. They can't even middle 110k bowlers.

Lol at this team. Struggling against Japan U19

Faham and Tayyab are looking ok atm...

75/3 in 18

Faham departs...

Pak U19 4 down for 83.

Seeing these batters struggling makes me a bit worried about their upcoming semi-final game. These middle-order batters are pathetic.

Shahzaib, usman and riazullah and then no one to play long inning.

Shahzaib is really in good form here. He should have been sent to open. Not sure what these galli muhalla tactics are doing here.

Tayyab gone as well now... Pak 5 down

This is pathetic batting.

you don't want to lose against Japan before your semi-final

11 overs remaining... Shahzaib and Riazullah need to step up now.

154/5

Good total in the end. Thanks to Riazullah and Shahzaib.

PAKU19 243/6 (50)

I don't think we are winning the title with 3 batters only. Really bad selection of this team.
These batters should learn from india U19 batters, They just smashed UAE by 10 wickets chasing 143 in 16 overs LOL.

Anyways,,, 1 down now Japan.

Pakistan have bowled well today but Japan batters are not quality anyways.

3 down for 27

Yet another left-arm chinaman Huzaifa in the Pakistan system. His action has the vibes of kuldeep

Just got the wicket now

Japan U19 5 down for 48

Huzaifa has 2 now...

6 down Japan. Come on boys
Really impressed with Huzaifa , got good revs and very accurate and is the only spinner in the whole Asia Cup who is getting consistent turn with enough bite. These pitches in Asia Cup are not favoring spin at all and he is still getting good turn.

Picked up his 3rd as I type this.

Beauty from Huzaifa... 3rd for him.

Japan going down quickly. 7 down now..

Pakistan Secures Dominant 180-Run Victory Over Japan in the U19 Asia Cup 2024

Pakistan registered a comprehensive 180-run victory over Japan in their latest encounter. Batting first, Pakistan posted a challenging total of 243/6 in 50 overs. Their batting was anchored by Shahzaib Khan (45) and Muhammad Riazullah, who scored an unbeaten 66. Ahmed Hussain also impacted with a quickfire 30* from 23 balls. Pakistan's innings were built around steady contributions across the board, while Nihar Parmar (2/18) and Kiefer Yamamoto-Lake (1/50) were the standout bowlers for Japan.

Chasing a steep target of 244, Japan’s batting line-up crumbled under the pressure. They were bundled out for a mere 63 runs in 28.3 overs. Mohammad Huzaifa was the star for Pakistan with the ball, claiming an incredible five wickets for just 8 runs in 6.3 overs, including the key dismissal of Nihar Parmar (25).

With this win, Pakistan completed three wins in the league stage and secured a Semi-Final Spot. They will play Bangladesh in their semi-final fixture on 6 December 2024.

Our batting talent is awful. Tayyab arif has regressed him along with shahzaib are only one with some potential. The rest will struggle to make it to domestic level on merit even with these 18 teams.

The captain saad seems another specialist captain.

Riazullah and Shahziab are only batters with some potential rest won't make it in domestic teams.

Batters can’t even middle 110-115k pacers , probably all time worst batters we have this time.

It’s really hard to digest that Faham, Farhan, Haroon , Tayyab are actually the best batters at U19 level because there names are no where to be seen in U19 domestic tournaments Top 15 list ,

What actually is the criteria to select U19 team?
