Bangladesh U19 (198) beat India U19 (139) by 59 runs in the final to defend their title and claim the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 trophy

Another wicket Bangladesh needs at this moment to be on top. Until now its even.

its high tension stuff... BD bowling with a lot of fire and intensity...good as long as they do not over do this

The cringe worthy Naagin dance is Bangladesh only and most significant contribution to the world of international cricket since they ever started playing international cricket....
with every wicket fall, expect this to be displayed vigorously :)....

The BD team , Naagin in tow are well ont their way to effect this unwanted trifecta on india...not the greatest day if you happen to be an indian supporter....
At least indian teenager Gukesh Dommaraju drew with Ding Liren, someone who is higher ranked and double his age,
in the world title clash in Chess, Singapore....some cheer for indian fans and to suggest no need to wear black - heading into a new week :).... :ds

There is something in the pitch at morning in Dubai. If Bd won the toss they would have also chosen to bowl first and they would have done better than the Indians did in first 10-15 overs. I was just hoping that BD score at least 200-210 after loosing 7 with 167 on the board. Thankfully Farid and Masum batted brilliantly and with 199 to chase I was confident.
 
Is there any twist in the game..75 needed and India has 2 more wickets.

Well played by Bangla Boyz....since 2015 havebeen very consistent in reaching the knockout stages at least on teh asian age group stages, and have consistently knocked out bigger and higher rated teams like Ind, Pak, sl.....
Good deserving win, also kudos the BD supporters who turned up and cheered their team....well done.


BD showed hunger to win, intensity to excell, desire to conquer and are deserving champs....

if they channell these younsters, especially theese young pacemen, the spin guy Debashish, thso two batsmen james and hamkim...makings of a good future....
for my guys india.....we've laid down a marker...our guys will bounce back....

The nagin dance is pretty cool, I enjoy it as a neutral i wouldnt say its cringeworthy 😎

Hopefully these kids go on and do big things for their country. Too many times Bangladesh dominates U19 but then the players don't do anything when stepping up.

I agree with you.

BD generally does okay at U19 level (won one U19 World Cup and two U19 Asia Cups). But, things somehow don't click at senior level.

Can u specifically define/state/quote/relay/say/show empirical/quantifiable/calculatable/anectodatal/mesurable/realistic examples where 'money was used to SAVE india'?
Also whilst at it please use the same parameters to show exaclty how your teams/other teams were disadvantaged in such a way that they did not win/get their due/were disadvantaged/defeated/their hands wrung/intimidated/held back from reachign their true potential?

Yeah. They did. That was the U19 World Cup hosted in South Africa.

Jaiswal, Jurel, Bishnoi etc. played in that U19 World Cup.

From Bangladeshi side, Shoriful, Towhid Hridoy, Tanzim etc. played in that U19 World Cup.

Without getting political this could be the generation that is most anti Indian because of the situation in Bangladesh and wants to take destiny in their own hands. I look forward to seeing their progress. They can be real fighters.

Bangladesh Crowned Champions - Mens U19 Asia Cup 2024​

Bangladesh delivered a stellar performance to defeat India by 59 runs in the final of the ACC Mens Under-19s Asia Cup 2024 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The triumph was anchored by the brilliance of Iqbal Hossain Emon, who was named both Player of the Match and Player of the Series for his heroics.

Bangladesh posted a fighting total of 198, with crucial contributions from Rizan Hossan (47 off 65 balls) and Mohammad Shihab James (40 off 67 balls). Farid Hasan chipped in with a brisk 39 off 49 balls, ensuring a competitive score. Indian bowlers Yudhajit Guha (2/29) and Chetan Sharma (2/48) impressed, but frequent extras proved costly.

Chasing 199, India stumbled under pressure, bowled out for 139 in 35.2 overs. Captain Mohamed Amaan fought hard with 26 runs, and Hardik Raj displayed intent with 24 off 21 balls. However, Bangladesh's bowlers, led by Iqbal Hossain Emon (3/24), proved too strong. Iqbal's disciplined line and length rattled India's middle order, sealing a well-deserved win for his team.

and put on one of the worst diamond top displays of boorish, cheap and bad sporting manners in the finals....which is again not taking away from their efforts and skills on display in that tournament.....they were magnificient in those parameters, do not get me wrong on that aspect....


But each time Tanzim Facebook star downloads what is between his ears on social media.....

and gets owned when he walks on the field....

especially when its indian batsmen who do the owning- cue T20 WC 2024 or the recent T20 bileteral....

u just get the vibe of Slamdunk....gadzump.....and long may it continue....

Dont worry about us mate, supporters of the original civilization of indian subcontinent will be always there, through thick and thin....yes, - not a great day as even indian women lost to Aus women....but this too shall pass....
But yes, my sincere congratulations to Bangladesh u19 team and bangla supporters...great win....fantastic!
 
I’m not impressed with the batting lineup we have. This tournament has been disappointing from a talent evaluator's perspective, even if I’m analyzing stats from my sofa. Apart from Hakim, none of the Bangladeshi batsmen seem capable of building a proper innings under pressure. Hakim brings an imposing presence with his height, a solid range of shots, and the ability to contribute with the ball. He has the potential to fill Shakib’s role, offering a genuine all-round option for the team moving forward.

I’m impressed with Fahad and Iqbal, bowled some beauties judging from the highlights. However, Mridul comes across as more of a trundler—he might be the next Abul Hasan.

Congrats Bangaldesh under-19 team, hope to see Fahad, Iqbal & Hakim in the national team replacing Mahmdullah, Sakib & Taskin.

Pitches didn't seem too batting friendly. All batting sides struggled in this tournament.

It was a low-scoring tournament.
 
What a tough day for India. 3 defeats in one single day. Moreover this U19 indian team was first defeated by Pakistan and now they are beaten easily by BD in the final lol.

It’s a very average team, and you can see that clearly when you watch them play.

Pakistan has a solid team, which ends up choking in knockout games.
 
What a win by Bangladesh! They have sent a message to the world that Bangladesh has the potential to beat the odds. Maybe this will be the beginning of a new era for them.
 
Congrats to both India and Bangladesh for reaching the final and to Bangladesh for winning Asia U19 World Cup. I believe the difference was in the bowling where all Bangladeshi's quick bowlers look like real deal.

Pakistan also showcased few bowlers in the tournament and I hope that they can mature from this exposure and go on the serve us for a long time.
 
Congrats to BD. Their teenagers played well. Lets see how many of them play at the highest level.

BD needs massive improvement in batting. The main players are old. Even if they can find a couple of solid batsmen, they will become a good team.
 
No fluke.

BD are doing something right to prepare their next generation for success in cricket.
