Afghanistan done pretty well in this tournament. They scored 285 chasing 320 against SL. Won against India and Malaysia and performed decently against Pakistan as well.

He has been in an out of the national team but I have found him pretty ordinary. He has done well in domestic but has always failed in international matches. He has a relative in ACB so he always finds his name in some teams like under23 , A team etc.

Whether you despise Rizwan or rate him, you have to admit that was a clutch innings and in keeping with the requirements of modern day ODI. When he first came in there was nothing score on the board, four wickets were down and the innings was inching along. He initially did his fair share of tuk tuk and was batting at 50SR for the longest time, but by the time he reached his century he had increased his strike rate to over 100.


This is why I did not rate Imam's or Imran's centuries in the previous matches because they were scored at SRs of 80 which is completely unacceptable.

According to Indian politics, this is what Pak always do, hate their own friends and end up losing them.

This has nothing to do with politics. Bangla posters on PP were putting down Pakistan (and have been putting down Pakistan since that series in 2015) claiming that BD is the second best side in Asia while Pakistan is minnow.

Some 'experts' even claim that BD domestic players are far better than those playing for Pakistan national side. Well we saw how that turned out, and that too at home.


It's better to be gracious in defeat and humble in victory. Not go around mocking a side for a series win after two decades of constant whipping.


During the Pak vs WI T20 match BD posters kept saying in the match thread that the match is exciting because "it is a battle of the minnows", conveniently forgetting that one side is the reigning World Champions and the other side are former World Champions and have reached the semi atleast 2-3 times. Meanwhile BD are ranked even below Afghanistan in T20s.

This is what has put off the Pakistani PP'ers and hence you see the constant mocking.
