Babar knows how to find the gaps in the PP overs. That's what batting in the PP is about.
 
This is such a dead pitch. They should chase the game easily. Otherwise shame on them.

He was never a Rohit Sharma, David Warner or a Jonny Bairstow to begin with but he’s certainly lost form since the Asia Cup. Fakhar was better than what he is now tho.
 
Afghanistan's pacers are looking like club level bowlers. Pakistan should win this between 40-45 overs.

Looking at how imam and babar is playing mujeeb really shows how bad fakhar is. He really needs to work on his technique otherwise he will be out soon.

I dont know why Pakistan Fans are suddenly criticizing Fakhar. He is talented and one odd duck should not be used to judge or sideline him.

Sad to see Pakistan fans forget so quickly that Fakhar Zaman is the first and only Pakistan batsman to score a double century in ODIs.
 
That flying bird gesture from Hamid to Imam was signal for him gonna go after 2 overs. Feel bad for him but that was pretty unprofessional behaviour.

Some of the Afghanistan's players fitness is truly awful. Pakistan might not be amazing, but Afghanistan's looks seriously bad. Need to desperately improve that, their fielding looks so slow.
 
I really want Imam to score big, he is always criticized for being slow which has some merit, so this game low scoring game, he should settle in and make a big score.

Not saying they want Pak to win or not. They are watching it as neutral cricket fans who arent as emotionally involved in this as Pak fans so they are judging the match and situation from neutral point of view and giving their opinions which are more confident regarding Pak team in this situation then some Pak fans.
 
This is going to be tight and if PK don’t concentrate and aren’t smart, an upset could be in the offing. Let’s see how Rashid bowls because he holds the key for them
 
On the other side, Aus 79/3 in under 20 overs. If they win, then NZ last game is against Eng, which will be must win for both of them.

However, fans just know their team well.

For example my indian mate told me he is worried about the fact that India hasn't lost any game yet. I was like, you should want to keep your winning momentum going. Why lose? He said a constant winning streak means they will bottle it in a must win game like the semi final or final. Totally contrary to how we think. We prefer our team to find the winning momentum and carry it all the way to the final.

Similarly, I think Indian fans calm us down saying, its only 230 runs don't worry, you will chase this with ease when in reality, no Pakistan chase is easy, ever! You just don't know when the next collapse is coming.

Both sets of fans probably view each other's team through their own looking glass.

Do you think Pak would make any call regarding out of form Fakhar if they remain in the WC? I think it would be difficult to change a set top 3 at this stage and they would probably want to continue.

I don't know either, he's one of the few openers we have capable of attacking the bowlers in PP overs and giving us fast starts.

Attacking openers like him will frustrate from time to time but he's far ahead of the other dross we've tried in opening positions.

Averages 40 at SR of 92 vs top 5 ranked ODI sides. Utterly clueless to compare him to Awais Zia of all people.
 
It be a huge let down, winning against SA/NZ and then being downed by Afg. Semis or no semis, win this game.

He is due one good knock and I am afraid its might be next game. No, there is no option in this WC - PAK is carrying 13 men squad + Mian & Asif
