After a dream day 1 with centuries from Younis and Azhar, Pakistan will be looking at extending their lead. I reckon they should extend to 500+ by tea and declare. What's your say?

Pakistan 304/2 (88.0 ov)
Australia

Bat as long as you can and declare. Aim for the innings win

Should bat out the whole day today as well. Till lunch on the third day if possible. The Aussies should be mentally and physically drained before we put them to bat. The wicket would have roughed up enough to give our spinners better purchase on the wicket.

So refreshing to see Pak batters applying themselves. A year ago if one of them got a 50 he gets treated like God.

Should easily add another 200 in next two session.

But key is wickets in hands.

I would like Pakistan bowlers to have a go at Aussies before stumps.

yk is just 70 runs short of 8000 test runs
should aim that target in this test

Yaar Pakistan should hand out a phainty to Aussies here while they still have a chance. Bat with an attacking mindset and aim for a win. This might be the best way to overcome the mental barrier of playing against them and future Pakistan teams could take a leaf out of this current squad's book.

Lol the game being played outside the stadium by locals is more entertaining. Commentators are busy commenting on that. :)))

With a flat pitch, Pakistan would ideally like to be bowling against Aus' 2nd innings late on the 4th day.

Get Aus in late today, try bowling them out by the end of the 3rd day tomorrow for a deficit of 200 runs or so, then have a quick bat to get to around 400+ lead, and put in Aus again after tea on 4th day.

Bazid: "The bowler is getting those funky fields organized" :))

Deano: "They got a wicket. So they do get wickets here in the UAE. Still waiting for one here" :))

But a serious injury could be career over for Haddin

Slow start here today but importantly partnership still going even though YK has given a few chances.

We should beg Misbah to be allowed to bring on Hughes to keep

Aussies. Becharay. I feel for them. There pride must have taken a beating.

Hoping Khan is generous and allows Shafiq to bat here as well. Will do a lot for his confidence if he gets a century here too.

Blessing in disguise for Australia if that happens. Haddin is crap.

Is it not allowed? It should be if it isn't.

In the meantime Azhar has mercy on Australia and Warner and gives edges a crap delivery to Warner to cheer them up.

Lets see if Siddle targets Misbah here lol. I hope we see some quick run-making here from these two.

Younis has been lucky to not have been out three times today. Azhar doesn't have the same luck and the knives come out again...

Come on, smash Lyon all around the park. We want to be entertained.

Nayeem: "Younis Khan now averages at least
50 in each of the four innings of a Test. The
only other batsmen who average 50-plus in all
four innings are Don Bradman and former
England great Herbert Sutcliffe." That's a
stunning stat.

Pretty disgusting way for Azhar to get out. Even after spending a whole day at the crease in a flattest of pitch he couldn't avoid that dismissal.

Why doesn't the entire stadium seating have a canopy?

How do they expect people to come watch test cricket when there is 35 degree heat shining down on them all day.

Not only provide canopy but air conditioned seating too.

And still If the people doesn't come .? :yk If people are interested to watch the game they'll come no matter what the condition is. Just look at the Indian spectators in Indias matches

misbah uncle to Score a quick fire fifty

Should be the plan. Then get Shafiq in for a fairly easy century against the Aussies and then Sarfaraz to go all Gilly on the Aussies at the end.

Misbah is definitely going to need the hook and pull shots during the WC. Should start practicing right now.
