He failed to do it against ZIM in Pakistan. On the flip side, Anwar played well and thus holding the position.

I would like to see Amir instead of these two.

Fail is a bit harsh. He bowled 3 overs and didn't give up too many runs, and only batted once for yes 4 runs, but that is hardly enough to deem Anwar Ali better than Hammad in the long run.

Pakistan does this too often, they play a player a couple of matches and judge them based on that, when they should invest and say we need to give this player 2-3 series, understand there will be growing pains and failures in the mix, but if we truly believe they can do something for us going forward, then we need to instill confidence and invest in them.

They can do it with consistent failures in Shafiq, and YK, but yet give 2 matches to Hammad and show him the door.

If we dont get a wicket, I feel this aggression will eventually die down and England will sail.

Well said!

Pakistan needs a good support effort from Anwar and Malik, our lesser bowlers.

This matxh will be over before 40 overs ..pak should bowl out it's best bowlers by 40 overs ...

Loads of optimistic Pakistan fans here as I don't see us winning unless couple of wickets are taken.

Yes. Rohit, Dhoni, Kohli, Ashwin, De Kock, Duminy, Amla etc. are all second string players :)) Bangladesh can't force teams to play away. Please ask them then we'll be happy to.

Yes Pakistan is without their 7-8 main players (3 bowlers came with new action and injury), South Africa is without AB, Steyn and 2 other key players, India without their main bowler Shami and 2-3 main players.

Agree that he should've been given more chances but I remember watching TV show (on GEO Super) where a selector said that he didn't impress selectors and team management against ZIM.

Oh I wasn't knocking on you, it was a judgement on the side of our management based on how they decided to play them.

It's silly that they did that.

Crucial spell coming up from Wahab which more or less will decide the fate.

The only problem with Hammad is he looks very slim, does not "impress" in his physique. I really like his bowling, kind of Kallis-type with slight movements both ways, wicket-to-wicket bowling and low variations in pace. Can pick wickets with his deceptively cheeky bowling.

A little bit more application by our middle order and we would have got 250-260. Might well prove the difference in the end.

7-8 main players? Who was missing out? At that point of time which where the key players Pakistan were missing. Yasir Shah is the only one you can point at

SA was missing AB. Steyn nothing special in ODIs when rabada was already there.

India did miss Shami but just about it. Now if you mean someone like Ishant sharma a key player then someone help you

5 dots and last ball single :))...... off Ifthikar

I think I've seen everything now...

And that's why I would also like to see him, but currently team managements favorite is Anwar.

Nevertheless, Amir should come in instead of either.

Did Eoin Morgan change his batting stance ? Looks like he is ready to hit a home run.

another 40-50 runs and this match was truly ours. The way middle order bottled it up is a real disappointment.

Yar Eng aren't even chokers like SA, so apparently we need to pick all 10 wickets as these blokes won't go through a brainfreeze

Really poor captaincy. Really bad field for Wahab.

Why is Iftikhar bowling when we need wickets?

Rameez criticising a little too much. He always seems to go with the flow. Doesnt normally provide strong tactical insights.
