The game strategy that Pakistan so often get abuse for is the only one that works for them: Babar and Rizwan have no choice but to play safely till the 13th or 14th over as the middle order can't bat more than 6 overs combined.

The other point is that our middle order is so fragile we been someone like Shoaib Malik in there just to rebuild things when we collapse like today.

Doesn't matter if its "outdated" if, after 20 overs you can post a total of 160+. It works more times than it doesn't for Pakistan so they should stick to it. I'd much rather they play slow and build up to 160 plus rather than go gung ho and collapse for 130.
