Over to Nawaz and Imad to end this innings. I have a feeling we will struggle our way to 280 rather than the 300 we seem destined for at the moment.
 
With all due respect to how Pakistan, and more importantly Babar Azam, has played so far, this performance is still not good enough for modern day LOI cricket. Windies were down and out while Sarfraz-Babar were batting. Should have ruthlessly put them out of the game by now. The bowling is pretty bad.
 
There is a class difference between Akmal and Babar Azam. Babar has brains
 
Still missing a big hitter in lower order Imad can do good but need some one who can score 30 on 12 :)
 
Rizwan is waste of space with his heroics in running between the wickets. Looks clueless against spin
 
It was that sort of catch that didn't let me feel sad for babar.
Perhaps this memorable innings wanted a memorable end.
 
Oh come on!!! these stupid gaps really kill the momentum
 
Nawaz is leaving too much for Imad to do. He should be a bit more proactive.

Gone are the days when one player using this charge and other keep on giving him back the strike.

These days, you need to attack from both ends. Not impressed by Nawaz here.

You have a problem with pretty much everything . .

1.) Azhar is too timid
2.) Imad is overconfident
3.) Babar was selfish today
4.) Shoaib Malik is a waste in ODI
5.) Amir is a rubbish bowler
6.) Sarfaraz is useless in the middle/lower order as he cant hit

I am sure I am missing a few of your comments :) . . Keep going sir

It seems you're the one confusing confidence with arrogance. If anything, Afridi's bravado could be construed as overconfidence.

Imad is just embracing the confidence he's getting from his performances. No difference from Afridi.

Good cricket by Pakistan but then again this West Indies bowling attack bar Benn has looked extremely mediocre on this track . Pakistan to win this series 3-0 .

Australia were a 100 or something in the 14th over . .
And I think they're batting on a much better pitch . .

Lets for once, give credit to how Pakistan has batted today ..

Also the ground that Australia are batting on is minuscule compared to this one.
 
Pakistan have played well so far. Azhar got a beauty. Sharjeel did his job. Congrats to Babar on his 120. Good partnership with Sarfraz. Rotating of the strike was excellent. Rizwan looked good, but miscommunication on the run-out. Imad has batted well, but him and Nawaz might not get a chance to finish the innings off.

Gang ho style doesn't work when the bowling side has wicket takers. There is a fine line between slogging & positive batting. AUS's advantage is their bating depth - their regular bowlers are handy with bat. Besides, AUS always play a super intelligent player at 5/6 - starting from Steve Waugh in 80s to Bevan, Symonds, Hussey, now Bailey - these guys know how to take advantage of a fast start, maneuvering strike with the tail.
 
PCB should sue the Ground committee, or curtail the payment. What PCB has done is they haven't created an alternative & now are almost at the mercy of those Arab fools. UAE grounds are not any one sided privilege - without PAK playing their, UAE Board won't earn enough to pay the electric bills. PCB is almost at their mercy because of lack of alternatives.

There are now over 1 million cricket mad solvent South Asian people in GTA, weather is fantastic for cricket between May to SEP & the timing is perfect as well for TV viewers in South Asia, UK, South Africa & Middle East - PAK can play home matches in Canada easily. The wickets will suit the team better as well. Also, Cricket season is over crowded between OCT to APR, but it's light between the northern hemisphere summer. Teams like AIS, SAF, NZ, WI, BD would love to play cricket in off season, in a safe Country like Canada.

Need to bowl well with the spinners though. Seems to be a very good outfield.
 
Disapponting that this match will be curtailed. Was shaping up to be an exciting match. Ground authorities must be held accountable.

7.10pm Looks like that could be it as far as the Pakistan innings is concerned. Will come back soon with a confirmation.
Dave: "Farcical game situations seem to follow the West Indies." Started with Port of Spain. Then Florida and now this.
6.40pm The lights are still off. Local authorities looking into the issue. As of now, we've lost 27 minutes. The Pakistan innings should have ended 10 minutes ago. This was building up to be a cracking end to the innings, but well....
6.15pm Issue with the light towers. One of them has suddenly gone dark with the odd light flickering, so there's a brief stoppage in play. Players have gone off the field.
West Indies will have to chase 283 in 44 overs should Pakistan not bat again in this innings. Still no update from the ground, so the wait continues. Remember play can be extended for 60 minutes beyond regulation time.
 
Might have to miss the end of the match now because of class. Stupid delay. Hope we bowl them out
