i think they both are playing sensible here. we cant blame them for the tuk tuk approach here as they know if one wicket fells down here, its over for them as we will collapse just like the starting 3. so they are doing good. 180-220 would be a good total for them and we have a good bowling attack to defend the score. jsut need them to stick on the wkt till another 10-15 overs before they shift gears . hope to see nasir get a 100 here. shafiq should be kicked, bad shot and bat time. farhat is no good. azar ali would have been great choice instead of him as he is the player who doesnt gifts his wkt and keeps the wkt till the end.
you're right.

Though from here 6 an over would get us just 240.

We're relying on some big hitting later on here. Let's hope Kamran and Malik (And Riaz) are up to it.

I can expect a 15/3 from my team but can't expect a wicked lose to ipl material guys like Pollard and Samuel

Misbah lucky for the millionth time.
Misbah stole the luck of the irish on the last tour and kept it for himself :D.

I'll cut him some slack he's been brilliantly lately, deserves a bit of luck.

India? Sri Lanka?

not taking away anything from them

but cmon... 2 okayish fast bowlers in Roach and Rampaul who are made look world class here
1 good spinner in narine without conditions conducive to spin
2 trundlers who should get spanked around the park easily day in and out

you can't ask for more as an int'l top order batsman :inzi

That was a total gift, only a single for Misbah.

seriously??? The man recovers us from 15/3 and your complaining?? Go watch some domestic 20/20 if strike rate is the only thing you know.

10 from 30 balls is better than 4 from 4 balls and out.

Well it's been Roach who was our downfall.

Pollard and Samuels just provided easy runs so far.

That's not DRS, these sort of decisions were checked before DRS' inception - point being you expect players be honest about grounded catches and past evidence shows that they often do.

Exactly, Their is nothing novel into what Ramdin did. And if you have DRS which is their to rectify decisions why expect anything from players.
Anyway I am done on this argument on a match thread. (Most recently their was a instance involving Kallis and kallis was furious after that in IPL 2013)

I'm a little worried that Wahab is in the playing XI. I see him getting bashed around for runs. I hope that he plays well, we need him today!

Roach is pretty good. Bowled well so far. When the guy gets it right he's fantastic.

Which I stated during 1st over, which nobody on our team except misbah realizes. :misbah

WI only played 3 bowlers, who cares if it takes you 12 balls to get your first run. Just defend and wait for the part-timers.

Stop crying. If it's there to hit, he can hit it - nobody's taking away from the recovery job by stating that.

Bravo captaining really aggressively! But if Roach finishes his 10 over before the death without taking another wicket (hopefully), decision could backfire.

Yes, if your a top order legit batsman. Farhat-Hafeez-Asad are all idiots and lack brain power. They dont have common sense to see past opening bowling attack and realize that 2 trundlers have to bowl 20 overs.

.... well, in fairness to Farhat, he just has no skills. I could bowl with the wrong arm and get him out. just throw it far outside off and he will edge it.

You've misunderstood, I'm saying they often own up to dropped catches and did before DRS was introduced. Such behavior has no correlation with DRS whatsoever, based on it predating the system.

Is true.

That's Misbah's flaw IMO. When he's in the attacking mood doesn't care if it's a good ball or bad, he'll hit it. Plays more in terms of the time he's been in rather than quality of the ball. He's capable of hitting quite a few of these bad balls but let's it go.

If he'd have done that, honestly think he'd be a world class batsman. By which I mean average near 50, SR over 80. But still he's very good, can't complain.

are OFF!

haha come on Misbah you show him :D. Damn unrespectful kids thinking they can get away bowling medium pace. :D

Like exactly now, that 6 came out of nowhere :))

If we get to 240/250 we can defend it

Important to at least get something to defend atm.

Good post, agree.

His last shot is an example of this flaw. He leaves so many of these poor balls when he gets in the closed shop mindset that he traps himself into the need to hit a huge shot or, in extreme cases, several huge shots (Vs India).

Cricinfo:

Pollard to Misbah-ul-Haq, SIX, tuk, tuk, tuk, tuk, tuk, bang, tuk, tuk, tuk, tuk. Oh Misbah we love you for that. Out of the blue, he makes up his mind that this length ball has to go. And go it does. Over long-off for a clean six

lol ramez laughing at aussies chance despite sitting right next to moody :))
