I really hope people don't start hyping up Faheem's batting on the basis of the 9 balls he faced here, just like they shouldn't bash the lad when he gets out for a duck going hard at the ball at the back end of the innings. Arm-chair analysts here really need to learn the game.
They have done what any decent bowling attack could have. Nothing spectacular. If you get smashed for 200+ on these wickets, you have no business playing international cricket.
After 1,2,3 and 4. The batting order is unpredictable. This shows that Pakistan have not sorted out who will bat where and also that it seems that the rest of players are bits and pieces with the bat.
He's a big hitter, Pakistan doesn't really have many to choose from. In T20's you do need someone who can clear the boundary in these games, if only to match other teams who have them.
He is a big hitter, but not a good hitter. If it was shot put throw, I could have taken that - one of 12 attempts reaching 20 metre, job done. Batting is highly repetitive task - do you really think 1-2 hits id enough to earn a spot at 5, even in T20?
I don't agree that there is not enough hitter available. If 1-2 hits are enough than any given day half fit Umar Akmal is better than most; while they have dumped Maqsood without giving proper chances. Do you think either of them will do worse at 3 or 5 than MoHa or Asif?
What a garbage wicket, typical UAE pitch... These sort of wickets have made Pakistan, worse batting unit in the world. You cannot develop stroke makes, power hitter or even normal batsmen...When this torcher will be over
