He's always been capable of a decent innings. Which is why his test average used to be over 40 at one point.

I still don't think he will continue to do this consistently though. Everytime we think this and he ends up reverting back to slogging a six and getting out early (which he did last ODI match).

All the ability in the world. He just doesn't use it.
