The Sri Lankan players who feel unsafe should be allowed to return. Wrong from SLC to force players to play against their will.

Hopefully the security is further beefed up , so that any apprehension the visiting team have is overcome, focus should be on cricket

Pakistan have been fined 20 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against Sri Lanka in the first ODI in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Ali Naqvi of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after Shaheen Shah Afridi’s side was ruled to be four overs short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.

In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined five per cent of their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.

Shaheen pled guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires Alex Wharf and Asif Yaqoob, third umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid and fourth umpire Rashid Riaz leveled the charge.
