In hindsight, it is starting to seem like a very poor decision to bat first.

Lakmal and Malinga were swinging the ball but yet, our pacers weren't moving it there either.

What will you say now?

Also, how did the conditions change?

How? The pitch had moisture when the match began and the guy at the pitch report said that each team would want to bowl first. Ever since the inital 10 overs of our innings, no ball has swung or even seamed.

Some very slack fielding from Pakistan. Very casual
 
5 from the over... should ahve been only 4. Yaar call back julien and sack akram. I feel we will regress terribly if we keep these two.
 
I knew on this wicket we were 60-70 runs short. We should have finished on 320-330. Sad end for us, ohhh well atleast we made it to the final and won two most exciting matches agsinst india and bangldesh which were absolutely cliffhangers / thrillers . How bowling attack with offcolour gul and average talha has brought nothing but misery. Lankans are milking our bowling right now and i see them winning 100 % now unless we miraculously take quick 3-4 wickets.
 
Why don't they move Sharjeel into the infield or have him fake an injury and get a break?
 
want to kill M.Akram our bowlers quicks look worst then kenyan bowlers
 
No chance here for Pakistan. Our pacers are rubbish.

And fielding has been let down big time.

Should have fielded first, Misbha not good enough setting target. He always think 250 is good enough on ****** wickets.
 
Lol. just bowl out Ajmal and Hafeez already. They might actually get a wicket or two and stem the run rate.

You have to bring Ajmal back now. What's the point of saving him if the game will be over by then
 
Seriously overated bowling attack.... Solely dependent on ajmal producing magic
 
This game is gone. Bring ajmal on so when we lose the margin wont be that bad
 
Commentators raving about Jaya when they forget that he needed 3 chances to reach 30.

Same place again. Brainless stuff by talha. I hate to say this but he reminds of indian bowlers who just bowl with teh works without thinking.

320 would be impossible to defend with bowling like this. Nothing you can do when your entire pace attack offers up half volleys and long hops.
 
required below 5 ,8 wickets in hand,flatter pitch that to with due so nothing to worry for lankans right now
 
Poor line. That has been the main problem for the pacers. On these dead pitches, yo have to feel like a trundler and bowl wicket-to-wicket after the initial 10 overs.

Moisture or the lack of it doesn't really help when the line and length is not appropriate to the field setting
 
Lankans lost two quick wickets but have their bstsmen stopped scoring at anything less than 5 an over. After we lost 3 wickets for 19 misbah went into a shell and killed our chances to score big total. Scoring on this wicket st 3 an over was criminal and misbah should take full responsibility for nonsense. They are now scoring more then 6 an over. MATCH OVER !

Match was lost when we batted at ultra slow run rate. Why we batted first is puzzling decision from misbah and then we picked sharjeel khan who i knew would get OUT quickly.
 
whats the point of boundary riders when they can deal in singles to earn a win
 
So, Misbah, let me get this right. When Jaya was new to the crease and out of form, you had no slip. Now he's set and seeing the ball, you have a slip?
 
I was wrong about us defending this.

What match were you watching? There was minimum swing in that game and both sets of bowlers managed to move it around in the first few overs and nothing after that.

If the Pak bowlers got whacked, the Pak batsmen chased down 320+ and almost chased down 290. Tells you all that is needed to know.

Not a single bowler has managed to consistently swing and get wickets with the new ball and the Pakistanis have been just as poor as everyone else.
